Chapter 7: The First Official Flight

"Oh gods! Oh gods! Oh gods!" Hiccup yelled while falling

Thunder made his way to catch Blake and Hiccup was able to bet back on Toothless back but they were going to crash with some sea stacks Toothless opened his wings to try to make them fall slower but it was useless

Fortunately, Hiccup for pure instinct moved his foot making the tail close and open in the right moment dodging all of the sea stacks Thunder was also able to do the same since his wing didn't hurt him any more

Once they were out of danger Toothless and Thunder roar happy of being able to fly again but Toothless decided to shot a plasma blast than exploded making a fire wall "Oh come on" Hiccup said

Some hours later Hiccup, Toothless, Blake and Thunder landed on a small island to take a break, Hiccup's hair baked out and was stuck that way, also his face and clothes were a little burned, Blake was okay since Thunder got him out of there before he could get burned by the fire wall

On the island they were all enjoying some fish that the dragons trapped, suddenly Toothless regurgitated a fish for Hiccup "Uh, no thanks I'm good" he said

Blake looked at Thunder and saw he had the same intentions as Toothless "Please don't do it Thunder I'm also ok"

Suddenly four terrible terrors landed on the Island and Toothless and Thunder roar at them trying to protect their fish, one of them was able to steal the fish that Toothless regurgitated for Hiccup and started eating it

Then a fish started to walk away but Toothless saw it and discover that it was another Terror trying to steal the fish so Toothless eat the fish first making the Terror mad so it was getting ready to attack Toothless

But when it opened its mouth to fire at Toothless, he shot a plasma blast at the inside of the Terror making it inflate like a balloon when the Terror went back to normal it was disoriented

"Not so fireproof from the inside are you, there you go" Hiccup said throwing his fish at the Terror, the Terror saw thin and ate the fish when it finished the Terror slowly approach to Hiccup and curled up next to Hiccup who start petting it

"Everything we know about dragons is wrong" Hiccup said

"I don't know why would someone want to kill these wonderful creatures" Blake said petting Thunder's head

On the night after leaving their dragons back at the cove Hiccup and Blake were on Hiccup's workshop again but they were really bored

Hiccup was playing with his pencil and Blake was everything he could to stay awake but then, Stoick appeared scaring Hiccup and Blake

"Dad you are back!" Hiccup said trying to hide the drawings of Toothless the best he could

"Um, my dad is not here" Blake said

"I know, I was looking for you Hiccup" Stoick said "You did?" Hiccup asked "You want me to leave, sir?" Blake asked

"No, it's ok I have something to tell you too Blake" Stoick said and then he looked back at Hiccup "You've been keeping secrets"

"Uh...I...have" Hiccup said getting nervous "How long do you think you could hide it from me?" Stoick said with an intimidating voice

"I...I don't know what you are talking about" Hiccup said even more nervous

"Nothing happens on this island without me hearing about it" Stoick said walking slowly towards Hiccup cornering him "So let's talk about that dagon"

"Oh, gods dad I'm so sorry I was going to tell you I just didn't knew how to-" Hiccup was interrupted when Stoick started to laugh "So you're not upset?" Hiccup asked confused

"What?! I was hoping for this" Stoick said

"You were?" Hiccup asked even more confused

"And believe me it only gets better! Just wait until you spill a Nadder's guts for the first time, and mount your first Gronkle head on a spear, what a feeling!" Stoick said punching Hiccup on his shoulder

"And Blake when you first arrive at Berk, I didn't expect you to have that type of abilities" Stoick said before start laughing again "Hiccup with you doing so well in the arena, we finally have something in common to talk about"

Stoick looked at his son with an exited face but Hiccup said nothing creating an awkward silence, then Stoick took out a Viking helmet

"I brought you something to keep you safe at the arena" Stoick said giving Hiccup a Viking helmet "Uh, wow thanks" Hiccup said looking at the helmet

"Your mother would have wanted you to have it, it's half of her breast plate" Stoick said and then he looked at Blake "As you Blake, I always hoped that you got your memories back so we could get you back home but 3 months have passed and you haven't remembered anything, so I wanted to give you the official welcome to our tribe"

"What do you mean sir?" Blake asked "It means that now you are an official member from our tribe, which means that you are free to stay even if you got you memories back" Stoick said

"Thank you, sir, is an honor to be a member of the tribe" Blake said

Then Hiccup yawned "Well me and Blake should really go back to bed"

"Right" Stoick said

"Thank you for coming by and accepting Blake on the tribe" Hiccup said, once Stoick left Blake approached Hiccup

"What are we going to do?" Blake asked

"I don't know but we'll get through it" Hiccup said getting a final look at the helmet his father gave him
