Chapter 4: Bonding with a dragon

It was already night time and it was raining, Hiccup and Blake arrive at the Great Hall really wet, inside Gobber was talking with the teens

"All right, where did Astrid go wrong in the ring today?" he asked "I miss-timed my dive it was sloppy" Astrid said

"Yeah, we notice" Ruffnut said "No you were great it was so Astrid" Snotlout said

"She's right you have to be tough on you self" Gobber said before noticing Hiccup and Blake "Where did Hiccup gone wrong?" Gobber asked

"Uh, he showed up" Ruffnut guessed "He didn't get eaten" Tuffnut suggested

"He wasn't where he should be" Astrid ended, when Blake heard this, he looked like he was about to punch the twins and Astrid in the face for insulting Hiccup but he contain himself for doing so, really hates when someone talks bad about Hiccup

"Thank you, Astrid" Gobber said while taking out a book and slam it in the table "The book of Dragons, everything we know about every dragon we know of is in this book, no attacks tonight study"

"Wait you mean read?" Tuffnut said looking at Gobber like he was crazy "While we are still alive" Ruffnut said disgusted with the idea of reading

"Why read the words when you can kill the stuff the words tell you about" Snotlout said following the example of the twins

"Oh, I've read it like seven times" Fishlegs said starting to get exited "There's this water dragon that sprays boiling water at your face and there's this other dragon that- "

"Yeah, that's sounds great there's a chance I was going to read that" Tuffnut said interrupting Fishlegs

"But now" Ruffnut continued "How about this you guys go read while I kill something" Snotlout said getting ready to leave followed by Tuffnut Ruffnut and Fishlegs leaving Astrid, Blake and Hiccup behind

"So, I guess the three of us will have to share" Hiccup said "Read it!" Astrid said pushing the book where he was "Great all ours then so I'll see-" Hiccup wasn't able to finish, he was interrupted when Astrid closed the door of the Great Hall

"Hiccup are you ok?" Blake asked "Yeah, I was just wondering when will she notice me?" Hiccup said a little sad

"Don't worry she'll notice you eventually I'm sure" Blake said trying to cheer Hiccup up "Thanks Blake you are truly a good friend" Hiccup said with a smile

Time has passed and Hiccup and Blake were the only ones in the Great Hall and it was dark, Hiccup placed some candles on the table allowing them to see after that Blake join Hiccup on the table just in time before Hiccup starts reading

"Dragon classifications" Hiccup read "Classes Stoker, Boulder, Strike, Tidal and Mystery" Blake continued

"Thunderdrum, this reclusive dragon inhabits sea caves and dark tide pools, when startled the Thunderdrum produces a concussive sound that can kill a man in close range, extremely dangerous kill on sight" Hiccup say reading the first page

Blake decided to continue with the second page "Timberjack this gigantic creature has razor sharp wings that can slice through full grown trees, extremely dangerous kill on sight"

"Scauldarun throws boiling water at its enemies, extremely-" before Hiccup finish reading a lighting cracked out outside making Hiccup and Blake scream when they calmed down Hiccup continue reading

"Gronkle, Zippleback, Skrill, Boneknapper, Whispering Death" Blake started to change the pages really fast while reading what he could

"Burns its victims, buries its victims, choaks its victims, turns its victim's upside down" Hiccup and Blake were starting to get a little nervous until they reached an almost blank page
