Melanie's POV

I woke up the next morning and headed downstairs for breakfast, I had three days of school left. Thank god. The thing I find unfair is that Winnie is home schooled, yet I go to public school. I know it's all because of her social problems but it's not going to help her by taking her out of school.

I got in the kitchen, mum was still making breakfast, dad sat at the table reading the paper with a cup of coffee and Winnie sat across from dad in her own little world.

"Where's your glasses, Melanie?" My mum asked

"In me pocket" I answered

"And is your pocket blind?" She questioned placing food on the table, I took out my glasses and placed them promptly on the bridge of my nose, then smiled

"By the way Mel, your Aunt Jane and Uncle Burt are coming to drop off your cousins Cathy and William this afternoon" My dad explained, I groaned as I sat down.

"Why do they need to come, Cathy never shuts up and William is just annoying" I sighed, Cathy is Winnie's age and William is a year younger then myself.

Cathy is a bottle blonde, she's like a Barbie girl. Fake. She likes to think she can get any man her heart desires. She's got a figure like a pin up and isn't the nicest, yet talks for hours. Then there's William, sometimes he's nice and other times he's so annoying I want to shove a sock in his throat. They live in Brighton, with their fancy clothes, big house, and just expensive lives. It's gonna be a kick in the face coming here.

"How long are they staying?" I asked eating a strawberry

"About two months, Jane and Burt are going on business and they don't trust them alone, we were the closest they could find, and I'm the only brother who still talks to Burt" Dad chuckled

"Ron, Bill, Patrick and Harley all don't talk to him?" I asked

"Not a chance" Dad sighed

"I want you to be good to your cousins, show them around Liverpool" Mum ordered

"I always have to do that, I'm probably more well known a then her and I'm only fifteen" I groaned, gesturing to Winnie

"Just don't get into trouble today" Mum gave me a stern look as I bit into my toast

"Fine, I'm going now" I said getting up

"No drawing, pay attention" Mum yelled as I exited the house

I drew a lot. It was all I ever did, and I often got in trouble for drawing in class. They'd always call home saying "she needs to focus more on her school work, and less on pointless things like drawing" I hated that. Drawing was my hobby, and if I'm lucky some day I'll get into the art collage, for now I'm stuck in public school.
