Chapter 17: Victory Mall

This time, Faith's arm were sassily crossed.

"I can't believe you left me here by myself in your room while I was sleeping," she stated, glaring at me.

I closed the door behind us and started making my way into the kitchen, squeezing past her nervously.

"I-... I'm sorry?" I said uneasily as I opened up the fridge, finding that Faith's sandwich was gone and mine still there, I pulled it out.

Faith stormed over to the kitchen and slammed her right hand onto a counter, "It doesn't work like that Shizuo! I thought that you were going to take me out to somewhere nice, like an amusement park or the mall!"

I avoided her eyes as I looked in her direction, unwrapping my sandwich as I did so, "So... You want to go to the mall right now?..." I asked.

"No! I'm going to go with Yuki now!" Faith said as she took out a light blue aPhone, which eased up my nervousness a bit, and began texting, assumably, Yuki, storming out of the room and leaving the door open.

As soon as she left, I ran both of my hands through the sides of my hair stressfully and spoke aloud to myself, "So confusing, girls..."

Just then, I heard a rapid 3-knock pattern knock on my door and turned to look at who it was, seeing that it was Keita and Riku, Riku having been the one who knocked.

"Bro, was that Faith that just left your dorm?" Riku asked with a wicked smile.

"Yeah, why?" I asked.

Riku bounded into the room and looked down at the spare bed in which Faith was sleeping in, noticing that it was messed up. Riku looked up with wide eyes from the bed to me.

"D-... Did you d-..??!"

"No. No, I didn't," I interrupted him, "She just took a nap there." Riku started to say something again, but I interrupted him again, "... WITHOUT me."

Riku nodded, "Ah"-ing as he sat down on the spare bed and leaned up against the wall. Keita walked into the room and sat himself on one of the three individual couches that I have in my room, kicking up the recliner and beginning to relax in the chair.

I looked over Keita, who sat at the other side of the room, "What's new, Keita?"

"This couch, Shizuo... I want it," he said, closing his electric blue eyes as he shifted in the black, leather seat.

I've grown used to Keita's odd remarks, so this wasn't abnormal of him to say, "How about we go get you one for yourself?"

Keita grunted in approval, "I would much like that."

Riku looked at Keita, then me, "Did I just hear something about a mall run??" Riku asked as he jumped up onto the bed and began jumping excitedly.

I waved to Riku to get him to stop and spoke after he calmed down, hopped off the bed and onto the floor, sitting on the edge of the spare bed then, "If you guys want, I'm good on homework and have nothing else to do right now."

I raised a half of my sandwich and took a bite into it. Riku and I both looked at Keita to get his say.

Keita shrugs, "I can always use more clothes, and besides, being materialistic is a normal modern-day trait, so I suppose adhering to the social norms of today wouldn't be too bad."

Riku nodded his head, "That's the spirit, Keita!"

I scarfed down my sandwich with a large bite, slightly stuffing my face, and made my way to the door of my room, expecting my friends to follow. The two of them did so, as expected, and ended up walking on either side of me as we exited the boys' dormitory.
