"Mom!" Derek exclaimed. "She's trying to hurt me."

"You just said she has ineffectual fists, dear," Katherine laughed.

"I said trying!"

"I'm going to hurt you!" Meredith giggled, hitting him hard again.

"Stop that!" he protested, grabbing for her waist.

"Why?"

"It's annoying."

"So are you and I don't tell you to stop."

"That...that was just hurtful," Derek frowned, stopping trying to fight back.

"Now you're faking," Meredith rolled her eyes.

"I'm not. That hurt my feelings."

"It did not."

"You did."

"You...seriously?" Meredith paused, frowning slightly.

"Seriously."

"Oh. I...I didn't mean..."

"You hurt my feelings, Mer."

"Sorry," she whispered quietly.

"You should be."

"I am," she murmured, pressing a soft kiss to the corner of his lips.

"Good," he murmured, stifling a laugh as he wrapped an arm around her and tickled her side. "You totally fell for it."

"Derek!" she gasped.

"Sorry, we're late, Mom. Mer had to finish watching a movie," Derek laughed and then cleared his throat. "I mean...my hair was doing something weird and I refused to leave the house till I fixed it."

"That was a really bad excuse," Meredith giggled softly, resting her head on his shoulder.

"I made it up on the spot," he laughed.

"You had an hour to think of one."

"No. I had an hour to listen to that crap you call music."

"Better than the crap you call good music."

"You love my music."

"If I were deaf."

"So mean," he laughed, kissing her head. "Sorry, Mom."

"I think that's enough you two," Mom laughed.

"We'll stop," Derek nodded. "Everyone already here?"

"Yeah, we were waiting for you guys," Sophie laughed, rubbing her swollen stomach.

"Sorry," Derek shrugged.

"No you're not," Brian chuckled.

"We are," Derek insisted.

"Definitely sorry," Meredith nodded firmly. "How are you feeling, Soph?"

"Fat."

"Sophie, you're not fat, dear," Mom sighed. "You're about to give me another grandchild."

"I know," Sophie sighed. "And you should stop saying it like that. Before I actually give you this one."

"I don't know how I got a daughter who acts so tough when really, she can't imagine her life any differently."

"I blame Derek and Mark, Mom."

"What did we do?" Mark frowned..

"Raised me wrong," Sophie shrugged.
