Chapter Four

AFTER the date fiasco yesterday, she and Avia decided have some fun tonight without drinking. Iniiwas siya ni Avia sa pag-inom baka raw kasi ay hindi na for fun ang pag-inom niya. Baka raw addiction, which she believe is not true. They went out again in the same cafe.

She likes the ambiance of the cafe, cozy and warm. She feels safe. Habang naghihintay sila sa order nila, si Avia ay abala sa pagdutdot sa cellphone. Siya naman walang masyadong ganap sa cellphone niya, she only used it for communication. She doesn't like to engage in social media. For her, social media is toxic and full of unrealistic things that projects new in society.

She loves taking pictures yet she don't post it online, wala siyang kahit anong social media account. She just keep the photos to herself.

"Ano ba 'yang pinagkakaabalahan mo?" bagot na bagot niyang tanong.

"I have to clean the mess I created. Ayaw kasing pumayag ng isa diyan," pasaring pa nito naikinaikot ng mata niya.

"It is not even my fault that you posted pictures of me. And ibinugaw mo ako without my consent," mataray niyang saad.

Minsan talaga matigas ang ulo ng kaibigan niya. Well, Avia is the only daughter in their family kaya lahat ng kapritso niya ay nasusunod. Avia may sometimes be a bitch but she has a great heart. They were enemies way back in elementary but they became friends and their bond became unbreakable. They're siblings from another parent, Lagi nga silang napapagkamalang kambal noon. Having a broken family, Avia filled the gap she was longing for. Her father tried to give her everything, she was always his number one girl.

Alam naman niyang ang gusto ng Daddy niya ay ang kasiyahan niya. He was always there for her, kahit pa gaano ito kaabala sa mga negosyo nila. He always make sure that he has a time for her. Her father never let her feel that she isn't enough. Kaya labis man siyang nasaktan sa nagawa nitong pagsampal sa kanya, iniisip niya pa rin kung gaano siya kamahal ng ama. It was the first time she was hit by her father, gusto man nyang magtampo at dibidibin ang pangyayari. Her love for her father is greater.

Yun lang hindi niya nagustuhan ang naging desisyon nito ngayon, na bigla-bigla siya siyang ipagkakanulo kay Clifford.

"Kasi naman you should have another hobby hindi iyong pag-party at pag-inom. Saka malay mo you and Xandra could be friends too. Xandra is a great person unless homophobic ka-"

"Hindi ako mababaw na tao, Avia. Alam mo 'yan. I respect someone's preference. It's just that I am not really interested, okay?"

Umismid si Avia, "Alam mo Anya. Nakailang palit na ako ng dyowa, ilang ulit na rin akong pinutakte ni Mommy kung may dinidate ka ba!"

Avia's parents treats her like their own, kung ano ang mayroon si Avia they always make sure mayroon din siya. Even they know that her father can afford things. She used to sleep over in their house when they were in highschool. Nahinto lang iyon noong magkolehiyo sila, Avia took college in Metro while she was left in La Lucia. But avia parents always make sure that they'll make time for her once in a while. It made her feel special.

"Ewan ko ba. But dating isn't really my thing. You know how much I try to date, nawawalan ako ng gana. Baka maging old maid na lang talaga ako," pagbibiro niya pa.

The last relationship she had was in college, it only lasted two weeks at hindi na naulit pa. Sa mga nagdaang taon inabala niya ang sarili sa pag-e-explore ng mga bagay-bagay. Sa mga nakalipas na buwan ay abala naman siya sa pagparty o hindi kaya sa negosyo nila. Hindi talaga sumagi sa kanyang isipan na magkaroon ng nobyo ulit.

Aaminin niya, noong una natakot na siyang sumugal dahil kay Clifford. He was her first love, yet her first heartbreak. Kung totoo man na may pagtingin ang binata sa kanya ngayon, masyadong mapaglaro ang tadhana kung kailan matagal na siya nakalaya sa pag-ibig na mayroon siya para sa binata. Maybe they are really not meant to be together. She still loves Clifford but as a friend.
