Chapter Ten: Best Friends

I do know that Adrian works out a lot.

I didn't think he would be doing intense weight training when all I see is him running.

He runs at least ten miles a day, I don't really count dahil busy ako at may trabaho ako bilang assistant niya.

He wears a white tank top and shorts, he comes back all sweaty and hungry pero hindi siya kumain agad.

I... admit that... sometimes I do... look at his biceps.

It's nice, I'm just appreciating his muscles and not his whole body, okay?

Ayokong maging manyakis kapag titig ako ng titig sa katawan niya, it just feels... dangerous and illegal.

And he's my boss for fuck's sake.

I've seen his abs before, yes.

Wala naman akong naramdaman kasi may abs din ako, yes... I have abs, I think it's gone right now kasi ang dami kong nakain kagabi.

When I saw his abs again, I didn't understand why I felt that way samantalang 'di naman yo'n ang unang beses na nasilayan ko yo'n.

And he got bigger.

I... I don't understand.

Talaga bang kinilig ako kasi imposable yo'n, maybe I was just surprised hindi kilig, he's my boss and I shouldn't even be having those feelings.

And so here I am... staring at David Licauco's abs, especially that shoulders. David Licauco is kind of my crush, I have a soft spot for chinitos too.

Pero hindi ko naramdaman yung naramdaman ko kay Adrian.

'Di bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko, 'di ako namula, 'di ako pinagpawisan.

I didn't feel anything, I was more amazed kasi ang sarap ng pandes—no, I'm not going to say it, am I out of my mind?

I need to focus on something else than... abs... and my own boss.

"We will open the workshop next year." simula ni Adrian sa meeting, umupo ako sa tabi ng upuan niya at binuksan ang dokyumento na puno ng impormasyon tungkol sa meeting today.

The meeting is all about opening our talent agency's workshops. Based on the agency's history, we've had workshops before but it was pop-up and it's like one-time thing.

Pero gusto ni Adrian na magkaro'n ng sariling workshop, we've already invested a place for it, we just need to prepare for the marketing. Meron na kaming mga instructors at trainers for the workshop.

"We got 50,000 likes in Facebook, and almost a 100,000 likes in Instagram. It would also help our actors if they want extra training, of course iba ang magiging training nila since they've had experiences before."

Some of us haven't eaten yet and praying that they can eat now. And some of us are also working with the production company, nadamay tuloy kami ni Adrian sa production company and their movie that will work with our actors.

Tinutulungan din siya ni Alexander, he wanted to apologize for pushing Adrian into the project when he is not the CEO of the production company at all.

"Kamusta ka?" tanong ko kay Adrian pagkatapos ng meeting at nagsi-alisan na yung mga empleyado.

He sighed and shook his head in exhaustion, bumalik ang ngiti sa labi niya at pati na rin ang mga mata niya sa'kin.
