Jules and Matt continue on. Running through the corridors, working their way through the levels. They push open the last set of doors leading to the common area of the facility. Jules stumbles back in shock. Jameson Banks stands with his arms crossed, a psychotic smile already on his lips. "Well, well, I knew we'd meet again." He starts to move forward. Matt rapidly steps infront of Jules. "You stay away from her, don't come any closer!" Jameson chuckles. "I see you've brought a friend. The devil of hell's kitchen, great to make your acquaintance." He bows dramatically. "Well, you really have made quite an entrance, trying to burn down this facility me and Mr. Fisk have built." Jules spits on the floor in disgust. "Jules I'm disappointed in you, I've been plenty fair, but you continue to make the wrong decisions."
"Says the guy who's building an army to kill innocent people." Matt retorts. Jameson runs his hands through his slicked hair in frustration. However, he recollects himself, taking a deep breath and putting on a smile. "It's time for me to take hold of the reigns now." Jameson rapidly pulls two guns from behind him. Before either Matt or Jules can react, he shoots them in unison with poison darts. They both stumble to the ground, shaking, their throats closing up...
JULES
Jules eyes are heavy. Her head is foggy and clogged like a drain. She goes to move her arms, but they're zip tied together. So are her feet. She coughs violently. She sluggishly moves her head up and pries her eyes open. Jules hears a current of slow claps. She winces from the sudden noise. Her sight is still blurry, but the dark figure comes into focus.
"The sleeping beauty has finally awoken from her slumber." The floodgates open enveloping her at an overwhelming force, everything that had happened in the past few hours and Matt. Matt. "Where...Where is he?" The words feel thick in her mouth. "Don't worry, he's close by." Jameson responds casually. Jules moves her arms, thrashing against her restraints. "Jules! Come on!" Jameson places both of his hands against her trying to keep her still. "See you leave me no choice; we could have had a calm civilized conversation, but you can never help yourself." Jules frowns and a hammering pain surges through her head. "I don't know what you're talking about Jameson." He sighs. "For such a spirited young woman, you sure aren't taking the hints I've been dropping." Jules shakes her head. "You're fucking crazy." Jameson shrugs. "Maybe, but aren't we all a little?" He kneels infront of Jules and rests his hands on her thighs. She feels his touch burning into her skin. "I love you, Jules." Her chest tightens. "W- what?"
"Ever since I met you, I've been in love with you."
"I was a child." She whispers. Jules feels physically sick.
"Look I'm doing this for you, for us, I've been trying to show you what I'm capable off. For the world to prosper, everyone must first be cleansed." Jules can feel herself shuddering. "All these justice systems, the FBI, shield, all of them, it's too confusing. People need one common force to lead them." Jules scoffs. "So that's why you've got your people infiltrating, to destroy them from the inside?"
"Jules I'm not destroying, I'm reshaping, I'm cleansing." Jules turns her head away, barely able to look at him. "People don't know what they want Jules. At first, Fisk, he would let our people run things from inside and keep themselves hidden from the public, but I convinced him otherwise. it's better to be seen, people need to know the truth and they will." Tears slip from Jules eyes. It hurt being this close to him. The memories flood her brain of all the torture he put her through.
"It honestly doesn't matter too much if we can't get control of the fire you, and your little devil friend set. We still have just enough successful human trials to carry out the plan. Even if this place goes down, we can pick up anywhere." Jules sniffs. "And with you at my side we can do anything Jules. My beautiful white dove." Jules neck snaps to look at him. She recognizes the name. Her. She has been the target all along. Just another pawn in his sick game. Jules glares at him. Her body vibrates with anger and repulsivity. "You're a sick man Jameson. A fucking monster. Killing innocent people isn't how you get what you want. And trapping those girls what the fuck?" Jameson crosses his arms and nods his head slowly. "Okay, I understand your point. See I was trying to replicate you, find someone to take your place." He leans forward and touches her cheek. Jules flinches at the contact of his skin. "Because there is only one of you, you're irreplaceable Jules, I fully see that now." Jules shakes her head. "Sweetie, you will learn to love me, you'll be better for it. I'll wait as long as it takes."
