You stared down at the small hand that gripped your wrist. "Um...who are you?" You didn't look up, even as you spoke.

"Hey! Look at me, Silly."

You made no move to comply, paralyzed for an unknown reason.

"N/n!"

You finally looked up, shocked. The only one who'd ever called you that was (occasionally) your younger sister, Tessa.

You gasped as you recognized the girl before you.

Andy Seline, the campus sweetheart of your Middle School.

Why was she talking to you of all people?

"I'm so glad I finally caught you like this!" Andy beamed up at you, as she was more on the short side. "Let's be friends, 'kay?"

You were stunned speechless. "What...uh, why though?"

Andy giggled. "I've been wanting to talk to you for a while, actually." She grabbed your other wrist. "You're really special, you know? You caught my eye on the first day of school!"

'Special?'

You stared at her in confusion. "I, uh...I don't think so..."  This felt fake. It felt like a trap.

Andy's eyes flashed, but she continued to smile. "You're so silly, N/n! Why wouldn't you want to be friends?"

"I just..."

"You don't have to finish that! You were only joking, right? Oh, N/n, you're so funny!" Andy pulled you in for a hug.

You suddenly didn't feel like fighting her anymore, as resignation washed over you.

'Special? What the hell is that supposed to mean?'

A/n: Okay, so I know that I don't usually do author's notes, but...I have some things I want to tell you guys!

First off, Application has an artbook! Some of you already know this, but I created a book specifically for character art and fanart of Application. There are some clues in it too, so I recommend taking a look!
