Kinda good news...

Start from the beginning

Mr. Wilson gave us a tour around the entire floor and we all followed him around. Jason was listening to him with attention. He looked s immersed in it. The second floor was more rooms, offices, and one mini-theater.

You know the thing with big houses is that they feel spacious but empty. It feels like you are alone in the house even if there are a hundred people and I hate that about them. I don't know how but we pulled it off to make this one feel cozy. The house is very spacious but it does not feel empty.

After checking the first floor out we went outside of the house. To the veranda beside the river and I did not want to go anywhere. It is just perfect. There is a swimming pool at the back of the villa with space to barbeque. That side is all rocks. On the other side is this beautiful greenhouse and there is an enormous garden at the front of the villa leading to the main road.

It took us almost two hours to finish up the things. We also prepared some drinks and snacks so Mr. Wilson and Jason could talk for a while and we all could enjoy the afternoon together. The reason for the long duration of the time we stayed there was mostly because of that 'spending some time with alpha'.

Jason handled things really well he talked to me only casually and only when it was necessary. It was refreshing seeing this businessman side of Jason. Finally, when everything was done. We greeted Jason and he left. It was almost one in the afternoon.

"Nice work, everybody." Mr. Wilson cheered for us. And by us I mean I and his secretary. We locked up the villa and are now on our way to the company.

"So, Owen I have news for you." Mr. Wilson said when we were halfway to the office. He paused for a second. "Do you remember Miss. Amelia Campbell?" He paused waiting for my reply.

"Of course. She is of the best architect in the world. She had a meeting with you a couple of weeks back." I answered.

"Yes. We are working together on this one project in Australia. So, if you would like to then you can join the team going there. You know it will be a nice chance to learn more." Am I dreaming? What did he just say?

"I'd...I'd love to," I said, but then I realized one important point. So, I asked him. "But Mr. Wilson, I'm just an intern and my internship is ending soon. So how can I?"

"Oh! Didn't I tell you? I'm offering you a job at the company as an architect. My secretarial office will officially email you shortly with all the details." What the fuck. This all is too much. "Well, you can reject my job offer, or even if you accept the job you can refuse to go to Australia." He paused again. "But the way you worked so hard on this villa. I really see potential in you. You remind me of my younger self. That's why I'm offering you this." There was quiet in the car. "Oh! And the project in Australia might go on for a couple of years, it's a skyscraper you see. So, you don't have to answer me now. Take your time and answer me before this weekend."

I was still processing everything and the car halted. We were at the company. We all got off the car and I was on my way to enter the building mindlessly.

"You are free to go home today. And you can take tomorrow off, you have worked very hard for the past month." Mr. Wilson said as he walked into the building.

I was standing in front of the entrance thinking what am I gonna do now? I had no doubt about the job offer, I was gonna accept that. But working in Australia, sure it would be a great experience but for a couple of years! I don't know what to do.

Author's Note:

I have two things to say about this chapter

1. What the fuck! Like where is that fucking villa? I want it. YOU BETTER BE READY JASON, because I'm coming for that.

2. What the fuck! Just when I thought everything is gonna go smoothly Mr. Wilson drops this bomb! I thought you were the good guy, Mr.Wilson.

Okay on the other note,

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH EVERYONE!

Yup, it's pride month. I know we all come from different countries, backgrounds, and societies. I don't know any of you personally. I only know you through this book, your comments, and your love. So, I can't say anything much to you, because I don't know anything about you.

You can belong to any part of the sexuality spectrum, straight, gay, lesbian, transgender or you can have any other sexuality. Because let's face it, human sexuality is not black and white, it's a rainbow.

You can have any nationality. And you can be from any kind of culture. You can belong to any ethnic group. You could be facing many kinds of problems. You might be someone who is already out of the closet, you might be someone who has not or you can be someone who is still figuring things out. You might be someone who has very supportive people around you or you might be someone who is in the worst condition possible.

But despite all that, this pride month let's celebrate ourselves for being the way we are. Not only your sexuality but also your culture, your ethnicity, your skin color, your way of thinking, your way of living the life, your life. Let's celebrate it all.

Let's celebrate everything that you have achieved and every time you failed. Let's celebrate everything that you like about yourself and let's celebrate all your insecurities.

Let's celebrate those eyes that everyone compliments and let's celebrate those couple of pounds of weight that you always want to lose. Let's celebrate the perfect score you got on the test years back and those times you played with your friends but let's also celebrate the times you lost everything and you were at your worst point. Let's celebrate it all. Let's celebrate everything that makes you, you.

Let's celebrate us. Let's take pride in being the way we are. No complaints, No regrets. For once, let's not be too harsh on ourselves, and let's not be our biggest enemy ourselves. Instead, let's just be proud of ourselves. Let's be the way we are one hundred percent.

I wrote it because I felt like it and I wanted to tell you how I felt. I hope it was not too cheesy.

Love you all.
