As the Crow Falls: This is where half my time has been going this past month. Developmental edits are done, and I'm deep into the weeds of line edits, which take (R.I.P.) somewhere in the order of an hour per chapter. This book has 45 chapters. The first ones are all done, though, which means I'm ready to launch as soon as my cover commission comes through. Stay tuned for a formal countdown within the first week of June!

The Wall of Imanti: So, I uh, may or may not have started Desert Epic? I spent the first three weeks of May frenetically worldbuilding and then PLOTTING on this one instead of editing AtCF, and these characters were screaming at me so loudly by the end that I couldn't help myself. I'm two chapters into it already, but liable to continue quickly. Oops.

Holy shit, I was just rereading my update from the beginning of May, and it feels like an actual lifetime ago. We're now in our first heat warning of the season here (so long, outdoor fridge, we will miss you in a month or so), the cats are no longer fighting over my lap and are instead melted over floors and furniture all across the house, and this month has been insane on the writing front.
Other than that, there's honestly not much going on. Not that I'm allowed to talk about, anyway. I've turned nearly nocturnal and have returned to the land of four works-in-progress, getting all my ducks in a row for a book launch is driving me out of my freaking mind, and time feels like a steam engine: slow in the moment, but barreling onward far too fast when you take a step back and look at it.
Is it the heat? I'm going to blame the heat. It's freaking hot outside 💀
