Greetings Folks of Magic! We welcome you to another session of Tales of Wizardry.

Today we are here with YvonneKindle with her story The Dresses Three.

Yvonne is from West Virginia, where she is a professor of Physics at a small Community College. After dedicating nearly three decades to non-fiction writing in her profession, she is now studying, in a self-direct way, the fiction format to share the stories that come to her. Since joining Wattpad in February 2019, she has written over a million words towards this goal. She explores the craft by dabbling in a wide variety of genres, most often focusing on the vast array of fantasy subgenres. In addition to writing, Yvonne also enjoys creating art with beaded embroidery, singing, and adoring her two cats.

About the Story: The Dresses Three

A combination of prompts from the ONC 2020. One dealt with having to create three dresses while the other dealt with an unwanted marriage.

Mercy, a young and talented weaver and seamstress, dreamed of spending the rest of her life with Jasmine. That was until the day the marriage decree arrived. Unwillingly betrothed to an equally reluctant blacksmith named Lance, she finds a way to break the contract: make three dresses, one of sunshine, one of moonlight, and one of stardust. This is the story of her quest.

When did you start writing on Wattpad?

I started writing on wattpad right when I joined in February 2019. Since then, I've written a million words on and off wattpad.

What is your favourite thing about writing on Wattpad?

I think what I like most about writing on wattpad is the interaction with other writers, in particular critique partners.

Does any Wattpad story or Published story influence you to write The Dresses Three?

With the three dresses prompt that was, in part, the impetus for The Dresses Three, it seemed natural to make their creation, and thus the world they exist in, magical. How else would you weave sunlight, moonlight, and starlight?

What are your current favourite colours?

My current favorite colors are orange and purple, though teal is quite nice, too.

Do you read a lot?

I go through phases with reading. I will go months without looking at someone else's work. Then, I'll binge read anything and everything that seems remotely interesting. This past winter break, I read over twenty books. Between school starting in January and now (May), I've read only one.

Cat person or Dog person?

As far as cats VS dogs, I am definitely a cat person. I have two, Puck and Flower. They are wonderful companions. Puck is my napping buddy and Flower is a sweet girl.

My two companions who are brother and sister (literally). They are 11 years old and I've had them since before they could climb stairs.
