The Sixth Paladin

Chapter 41

"That must be one of the freedom fighters." We exit the lion.

"Greetings, I am Lieutenant Ozar. You must be one of the paladins." He spots me behind Pidge

"Two paladins! But one lion?"

"Long story." I say.

"Uh yes. Anyway, I'm Pidge, this is Korra. What's going on?"

"We defeated a wave of Galra forces. More are coming so we're evacuating. But now that you're here, we might have a chance. Will the other lions be here soon?"

"I'm sorry, Voltron isn't coming. It's just us." I say and rub my arm.

"We're looking for Te-osh. Is she here?" Pidge asks. Ozar turns and points at the ship on top of the building behind him. 

"Te-osh is inside the base loading the last of the medical supplies. We were just about to leave. Your timing is most fortunate."

"Thank you. We'll give you a hand loading up. We just need to speak to her first." Pidge says as we walk toward the building.

"Thank you paladins Pidge and Korra." As we approach the building, more Galra arrive and shoot the building.

"No!" Pidge yells. We put up our shields as pieces of the building fall and knock us back. The ship that was on top of the building begins to fly off.

"Pidge! Get to your lion and hold them off, I'll stay down here and help." I tell her. She stops.

"But--"

"Go!" I shove her toward the lion and run over to the ship that's on the ground. I help shove supplies in the ship as the aliens load into the ship. I look over and see a Galra fighter shoot the ship, I see an alien look up fearfully at the approaching laser. I jetpack over and cover the both of us with a shield just as the laser hit the ship.

"You okay?" I ask her.

"Yes,thank you for saving me." She says shakily. I help her to the ship as Pidge destroys the Galra ship.

"Is everyone okay?" Pidge asks.

"For now thanks to you. But our ship is damaged. We are stranded and cannot help Te-osh. Please paladins you must help her."

"What about you?"

"We know what it means to fight the Galra. The supplies on that ship are more important that our lives." Pidge pauses.

"Everyone aboard. Now!"

We find the ship Te-osh is on and shoot a Galran fighter.

"Te-osh, we are paladins of Voltron,we're here to help" Pidge goes after the last fighter as Te-osh speaks over the comm.

"Please,I've been hit." Pidge yells in frustration as the ship keeps avoiding the lasers, so she hit it the vines. She lands the lion on top of the ship.

"Korra, take the controls." She says and runs out.

"Wait! Green isn't like Pink I don't know if I can--" Pidge leaves. "Fly it." I let out a heavy sigh and sit in the chair.

Pidge comes back and explains that Te-osh didn't make it. But she gave her a transponder that would help locate Matt. The freedom fighters go into the supply ship and we attach the lion to the ship and pull it to a planet. As we approach, Ozar pops up on the screen.

"This is far enough paladins. I've sent our coordinates to the rendezvous party, and they will be here shortly. Thank you for your help. These supplies will save countless lives in our fight against the Galra. I am sending you my transponder code. May the paladins of Voltron always be able to find me."
