Bully

The bell rang and I went back into the classroom. When I entered I immediately got weird looks from everyone. I ignored it as I looked down and sat on my desk.

I was getting on the school bus but a foot made me fall. I stood up and looked to who it was and it was the girl who was lying. She only smirkes and continued to talk with her friends...

I quietlt entered the front door in hopes of no one hearing me if anyone was home.

I took my shoes off and ran upstairs. I entered my room and locked the door and went into the bathroom to look at my lip.

Elizabeth's POV:

I was in my office looking at some emails and heard footsteps. I stood up guessing that Evelyn was home but she normally announced her presence. I looked around the corridor and heard a door being locked. I walked to her room and tried to open the door but it was indeed locked.

"Ev?" I said knocking. "Yes!" She said. "What are you doing in there?" I asked as she never locked her door.

"Nothing!" She said with an unsure voice. I lifted an eyebrow and knocked the door again. "Evelyn open the door please." I said.

"No!" I heard her say from inside. "Evelyn open this door please..." I said but got no answer this time. I went back into the office and took my phone and called Robbie.

"Hey liz?"

"Hey where do we keep our spare keys?" I asked.

"Uh why do you ask?"

"Well Evelyn locked her door and wont open it..."

"Oh, I think they were in the..."

"Robbie..."

"Babe give me a second to remember." He said and I let out a chuckle.

"Okay okay I think I put them in a box in the storage room."

"You think?"

"Thats the best."

"Okay." I said with a laugh as I ended the call.

I went into the storage room and tried to find the box with keys in it and I thankfully found it.

I went to Evelyn's room and unlocked the door. I entered her room and she wasn't in here but the bathroom door was closed shut.

I sighed and walked over to it. "Evelyn open it or I will." I said and I heard the door being unlocked.

When she unlocked it I saw her but she was covering her mouth with her hand. "Evelyn hunny why are you-" I said pulling her hand down but stopping mid sentence when I saw her busted lip. My eyes widened.

"Evelyn! How on earth did this happen." I said. "I- a ball! A ball hit my face. " she said. "Hunny dont lie to me what happened?" I asked as I could tell she was lying. She looked away and I directed her face back to me so she was facing me. "Ev?"

"She hit me with my sketchbook..." She said looking down. "Who hit you?" I said getting serious. She shrugged and I sighed. I took her hand as walked us into her bedroom.

I sat on her bed and rested my hands on her shoulders. "Evelyn Arnett, who hit you?"

"A girl, but I swear I did nothing wrong! She was lying!"

"Lying about what hunny." "She keeps lying that you and daddy are her parents, she keeps lying but they think Im the lier." She said starting to cry.

I was very angry at this.

"Oh hunny, don't cry hmm." I said hugging her. "Lets go treat your lip..." I said taking her hand and walking to the kitchen.

"Mommy..." She said after I was done treating her lip. "Yes?" I said tucking her hair behind her ear. "We have a school fair next monday I was wondering if you and daddy could make it. " she said looking up at me with her big green eyes.

I thought for a moment and had a brilliant idea. "I dont know baby We'll see if we can make it. " I said with a smile and she nodded.

I was sitting in our bedroom waiting for Robbie to come home. Evelyn had slept early which is nice.

I was reading my book when I saw Robbie come into the room. "Hello, I see that Ev is asleep. " he said giving me a peck. "Yes she was tired. " I said closing the book.

"Rob, Evelyn has been having some problems at school..." I said as he was changing his clothes. "What problems?"

"Apparently some girl keeps lying about her parents, but she labeled our daughter as the liar." As soon as I said that his head went up and he looked me in the eyes.

"Her school has a fair next week how about we surprise our little Ev." I said walking to him.

"Of course. " he said.

Evelyn's POV:

Today was the day of the school fair the students were with their parents i went and sat on a bench while the kids all played and walked around together with their parents.

I had gotten a lollipop so I unwraped it and put it in my mouth. I hummed and I saw the girl who kept lying with 2 people. She looked unhappy... I was also kinda unhappy and lonely since both mummy and daddy were bo where to be seen...

Elizabeth's POV:

Robbie parked the car in a appropriate spot and we entered Evelyn's school. We looked around the yard for Evelyn, then a little girl spotted us which caused a crowd to grow making finding Evelyn abit more difficult. As I said hello to and took pictures a girl approached me and I heard one of the girls next to her whisper 'your parents came...' I frowned when I realized this was the girl who kept lying about who she was. She was just about to say something but I took Robbie's hand "Pardon me I came to see my daughter..." I said getting out of the crowd. I turned back and saw the girls face go red.

I was walking when Robbie suddenly pulled me to a different direction. I looked at I saw Evelyn sitting on a bench all alone with a lollipop in her mouth. We smiled and made our way to her.

She didn't see us coming as she was looking at her feet. We went up to her and sat on the bench. She looked up and looked confused for a moment before a smile took over her face. "You came!" She said throwing her arms around me. "I feel so left out..." Robbie said and she turned and sat on Robbie's lap hugging him. "Im so happy you guys came."

"Well we couldn't miss it, we needed to show some people who's the liar." I said tucking her head behind her ear.

"Lets to walk around. " I said standing up which made both Robbie and Ev stand.

We walked back and I saw a group of girls who looked dumbfounded. Evelyn walked us to where the girls were.

"See Im not a liar you are." She said to her which made her face redder to the point she looked like a tomato.

Later that day her parents came and apologized to us for their daughters actions. We accepted the apology hoping nothing like this would happen again...

This was long it was nice to write.
