Released at the end of the year after the events of the Asia Expansion, The Australia and Antarctica Expansion's story has Dinosaur Reserve CEO Norman McKenzie task you the player to go on one more time-traveling adventure to capture dinosaurs from the last two continents yet to be covered by the previous DLC missions: the southern continents of Australia and Antarctica
On your final trip to the Mesozoic you are tasked with travelling to both continents to capture and retrieve the dinosaurs who once called the south pole their home from the cute Leaellynasaura to the crested Cryolophosaurus. five new maps are added, the Australian Outback, Tasmania, New Guinea, New Caledonia, and New Zealand.
This DLC also comes with a set of Australian-themed building pieces that come with murals depicting Australian dinosaurs such as Leaellynasaura and Australovenator in traditional aboriginal-style artwork.
Because you're now building parks around the world outside of your little zoo in Costa Rica from the base game, you'll be building in biomes of varying climates, and not every animal is going to accommodate well to their new home in the 21st century, you can't expect a Tyrannosaurus to be comfortable in the cold, can you? That's why DR international has come up with the perfect solution: Heaters and Coolers, which can alter the temperature of your animal's habitat just by attaching these machines to the barriers of your exhibit and adjust the temperature accordingly!
For the final Mesozoic-based expansion pack, we got the smallest mission line-up yet with a total of five new missions (two Australia, two Antarctica, and one New Zealand). these missions are:
Lizards of the South Pole (Hanson Formation)
Australian Winter (Dinosaur Cove)
Southern Hunter (Winton Formation)
The Maori Serpent (Tahora Formation)
Antarctic Tank (Santa Marta Formation)
