New Student

Farkle's POV

It is our first day of school again, I know this sounds weird but I love studying. I went to Topanga's to pick up Riley, I get used to it. I had a promise that I will be his imaginary suitor, I'll be her guy while she doesn't have a boyfriend.

I entered Topanga's and greeted Topanga "Hey Topanga!"

"Hey, Farkle! You look good today." She said while making some coffee.

"Thanks." I said while smiling at her. She also said the same thing last year. Do I only look good on the first day of school? Well, maybe I always look good.

"Are you excited? You know what? Cory is really excited to see his students and to teach you guys." Well, Cory is a good teacher, though he failed a lot of students last year. That's why a lot of students also hate him.

"Of course, I can't wait to study all night and do a lot of homework." I gladly answered. Well, that's not really the reason for being excited. The reality is that I'm excited to see Riley. Talking to her every day and studying together. Staring at her every time she recites.

"By the way, is Riley ready?" I've been here for 5 minutes and forgot to ask if Riley's ready. Seriously Farkle? Stop being so in love with Riley. "Yeah, I'm ready, Farkley!"  Riley answered while coming down the stairs. My jaw dropped as I stare at her. She looks so gorgeous with her black long sleeve dress and black bag.

"You look nice, so shall we go now?" I asked, pretending that I'm not attracted to her. Actually, Riles looks different, I don't know why. Maybe because Riley is a goofy person, and her outfit doesn't fit well with her attitude. As we walked, I kept taking glances at her, a quick snapshots: a photographic series. 

Riley

We took a cab. You know Farkle is a really good guy, sometimes I wonder why I didn't fall in love with him. Maybe because I treated him like my own brother or what? But I'm sure that someday he will find a perfect girl that will make him happy.

"Farkle, who makes you happy?" I asked while he is staring at me. I didn't know why I asked him that question, like what the hell right?!

"You."  He answered, well this is awkward and kinda glad that I make him happy. Well, he makes me happy too, it's not because I'm in love with him. The cab's got silent for a while.

"Why me?" I asked confusedly. "You because whenever I see you happy, it makes me happy too." He answered... Aww! That so sweet, I'm so lucky to have him as a friend.

We are already at the school, and we went to our personal locker. And I saw Maya there, I hugged her tightly. We haven't seen each other like forever, because she was in charge to take care of her grandmother for three months.

"I know that you missed me!"  She shouted, like duh! Stating the fact that is obvious. 

"Yeah! It's like I haven't seen you in forever." I answered I overreacted right? It's just three months. The class is about to start in twenty minutes, so we went to the cafeteria to hang-out for a while.

"Have you heard about the new student?" She said. "So?' I said, I really don't care. That's not different, every year we have a new student in our school." 

"Well let me tell you that, that student is a GUY."  She said. Ooohh! Okay, I take back what I said, I'm interested in that student. "Okay?" I said it like I'm not interested. "Hah! Well, I know that deep inside you are interested in him." She chuckled. I'm interested in him for now because I  still don't see if his ugly or hot or what?
