That night I ran away. I didn't want to, but I had to protect myself. So I packed a back and went for it. I didn't even think about my mum or my sisters.

I darted towards the pay phone down the road, my feet slapping against the wet pavement.

The cold rain falling on me sent a shiver through my spine. I realised then that I had tears on my cheeks.

I dialled Harry's number, an exasperated breath slipping from between my lips.

"Yeah, uhm... Harry? Can you meet me at the tram station in London? I uh, I need somewhere to stay." I nearly whispered, tears blurring my vision.

His voice came in response, "are you okay? Well, actually... Just tell me when you get here. I'll see you in a bit."

"Yeah.. Yeah. In a bit. It leaves in 10 minutes, so I have to go.."

"Bye Lou, I love you," his raspy voice crackled through the old phone.

I hung up, my fingers trembling as I grabbed my backpack, hoisting it onto my back.

I took the main roads to the tram, since it was already dark and If I stayed close to the shops, no one would take notice of me and hurt me.... Or worse.
