Epilogue

 I cracked open my eyelids, squinting as the bright light above my face blinded me. A shadow dropped in front of it, and I fully opened my eyes, examining the face that was now above me.

"Can you hear me, sweetheart?"

I blinked a few times and tried nodding my head, hoping that it worked.

"Good, good. You're okay now. It's okay."

I looked around trying to figure out where I was, there was a small table filled with little metal objects next to me. I recognized scissors and needles. People wearing dark blue clothes walked around, masks covering their faces.

"You're back home sweetheart, we got you out of there."

I raised my eyebrow at her, tilting my head to the side and opening my mouth. My throat was burning but I managed to croak out,

"Home?"

"WCKD, darling. Don't worry, everything will be back to normal soon"

I felt a prick in my arm and looked down, seeing a man injecting some sort of liquid into my body. I started panicking, what were they doing to me. I tried to squirm away but I couldn't move, nothing was working. My eyes darted around, focusing on the woman as she spoke again,

"It's alright, you'll remember everything soon Clarissa, just relax."

And then everything went black.
