Chapter 33: Trusting The Vision

Third Person Perspective

After the figure is thrown through the hall as it goes towards the window but it just hovers and looks out.

Y/N readies himself and jumps over the railing ready to fight but Thor signals him to stop.

Y/N's POV

After that we all go into the main room to regroup.

The purple figure then floats down to us and lands next to Thor.

???: I am sorry. That was odd. Thank you.

Steve: Thor. You helped create this?

Thor: I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life, and at its center is that.

Bruce: What? The gem?

Thor: It's the mind stone. It's one of six infinity stones. The greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities.

Steve: Then why would you bring...

Thor: Because Stark is right.

Bruce: Oh, it's definitely the end of times.

Thor: The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron.

???: Not alone.

Peggy: Why does your vision sound like Jarvis?

Y/N: We reconfigured Jarvis's matrix to create something new.

Steve looks at me.

Steve: I think I've had my fill of new.

Vision: You think I'm a child of Ultron.

Steve looks at Vision.

Steve: You're not?

Vision: I'm not Ultron. I am not Jarvis. I am...I am.

Then everyone starts to debate whether or not we can trust vision.

Vision: Ultron will end it all.

Steve: What's he waiting for?

Vision: Mr. Stark.

Bruce: Where?

Clint: Sokovia. It's where he's keeping Nat.

Vision goes on to say that he doesn't know if he's a monster and that we can't beat Ultron without the help of each other.

Vision: There may be no way for you to trust me. But we need to go.

Then Vision picks up Thor's hammer. We all look in shock as Thor takes it and Vision walks away.

Y/N: I'm convinced.

Thor: Right. Well done.

Steve: Five minutes. Get what you need.

Then we all go and get ready.

I go into my bunker and debate whether or not to use my new suit.

Then I hear a knock on the door and I turn and see Peggy standing there.

Y/N: Hi.

She doesn't answer.

Y/N: You're mad aren't you?

Peggy: Mad about what? Tony blasting me, you kicking Steve or that you didn't tell me you were gonna create a vision.

Y/N: I'm sorry.

Peggy: I know.

She walks inside.

Peggy: Can I just say something?

Y/N: Yeah.

Peggy: Don't become Stark.

Y/N: What do you mean?

Peggy: Tony's ego is the size of Atlantis. He does what he wants because he feels he has a right to and I don't want you to do that.

Y/N: We needed to do this, Peggy. Create Vision.

Peggy: I understand that, I do. Just promise me you won't become Tony Stark.

Y/N: I promise.

She wraps her arms around my neck.

Peggy: Good. Okay, now I'm gonna go get ready.

Y/N: All right.

Peggy and I kiss and then we pull away.

She taps my nose and then walks out of the room.

I smile as I turn around and go under the bed and pull out the case.

I set it on the bed and open it up and look at my new suit.

(This is the new suit. Hope you like it.)

I then change into my suit and once I'm done I head out to Steve.

Steve: I like the suit.

Y/N: Thanks.

Steve: You ready?

Y/N: As I'll ever be.

Steve: Let's go.

Steve and I then head out to the quinjet with the others.

Then as we head to Sokavia Peggy gives us a speech to prepare us.

Peggy: Odds are we'll be riding into heavy fire. That's what we signed up for, the people of Sokavia didn't, so our first priority is getting them out. All they want to do is live their lives in peace, and that's not gonna happen today. But we can do whatever it takes to protect them. We find out what Ultron's been building, we find Romanoff, and clear the people out. We keep the fight between us. Ultron thinks we're monster's, this isn't just about beating him. It's about whether he's right or not.

After the speech I go over to Peggy.

Y/N: You've got that speech thing down.

Peggy: Thank you.

Y/N: So did you practice or....?

Peggy: Nope. Just came out.

I laugh and put my arm around Peggy.

We then continue on to Sokovia so we can stop Ultron once and for all.
