He asked something softly, but instead of answering, the girl fell to her side.

Kakashi turned to Tekiro, who had walked up to him and was looking around, assessing the massacre committed by his partner – he caught up with him when he was already walking towards the girl.
"Well, that was something," Tekiro chuckled. "Rushed off headlong somewhere... You could have at least waited for me. What if this had been a trap?"
"It could still be a trap," Kakashi shook his head.
"Typical you – putting them out without hesitation..." Tekiro grinned.
"Why, would you have liked to chit-chat with them first?" Kakashi snorted. "In my opinion, everything is clear as day here. Take a look at their tattoos. And this girl..." He looked at the senseless girl again.
"So, what do we do with her now?"
Kakashi shrugged.
"Wake her up. Question her. Find out where she's from. Get her back...
Tekiro chuckled.
"Isn't that a bit too much for a chance find?"
"Any other suggestions?" Kakashi raised an eyebrow. "Would you rather leave her here?"
"Well... No, but we should get going..."
"It's enough if one of us gets back and reports, that's not a problem." Kakashi moved closer to the girl and sat down next to her. "Damn, what is this...?"
"M?" Tekiro also came closer.
"Looks like she's injured..." Kakashi nodded at the brown spot under the girl's chest, barely visible against the red fabric of the dress.
"Hmm... I wonder if it was them who messed her up like that." Tekiro examined the girl's dress, which looked as if it had been in a fire pit.
"I don't know, but we need to check what's wrong with her..." Kakashi looked at Tekiro hesitantly.
"Well, go ahead."
"Um..."
"What? Don't look at me like that. You found her, you deal with her," Tekiro was indignant. "Besides, only you can use the medical chakra more or less properly of the two of us..."
Kakashi ruffled up the back of his head. He then gently laid the girl on her back. Hastily shut the slightly open incision on her chest. Glanced darkly at Tekiro, who giggled shamelessly.
"By the way, why did you take off your mask in front of a stranger?" he realized belatedly.
"I..." Kakashi stammered – really, why? "I don't know... It just happened on its own somehow..."
"Yeah, right, and in your case, take it off or leave it on, it's just the same," Tekiro chuckled.
Kakashi, meanwhile, carefully brushed the hair away from the girl's face, and Tekiro, finally taking a proper look at her, whistled:
"What a dolly!"
Kakashi grimaced in annoyance – perfect time for such observations – and placed his palms at the level of the injury under the girl's chest, then froze. Some time later, he perked up.
"What the...?" he breathed in shock.
"What?" Tekiro asked as he sat down beside him and also took off his mask.
However, Kakashi shook his head and froze again. Finally, he removed his hands. He sighed and wiped the sweat on his forehead.
"Well?" Tekiro asked impatiently.
"Her heart was stabbed, or I don't understand anything at all," Kakashi said, still not fully believing.
"So maybe this is why she is like that? Is she alive at all?"
"Couldn't be more alive," Kakashi replied. "Just fainted. And I literally don't understand how she could have been in such a state, alive and conscious... And also... nonsense, of course, but it's like she doesn't have chakra."
"What a curious little thing," Tekiro muttered.
"You don't say, a discovery for a study guide: without chakra, with a wound in the heart, but alive..."
"It's way too suspicious," Tekiro drawled. "Maybe we should really leave her here, to be on the safe side?"
Kakashi looked at the girl thoughtfully, rubbing the scar above his eye.
"It would be the easiest solution, but I can't do that. Just like I can't explain why I stopped and rushed here."
"And took off your mask." Tekiro grinned.
"And took off the mask..." Kakashi agreed, rolling his eyes slightly. He then looked at the girl again. 'Chance find', huh?.. "We need to understand who she is and what happened to her. And despite the fact that I patched her up as best I could, the wound still needs to be treated properly."
"So, what are we waiting for?" Tekiro asked cheerfully, getting comfortable in anticipation.
"You're hopeless." Kakashi sighed.
"Moreover, I'm even ready to take over in this noble cause," Tekiro said enthusiastically and grinned even wider.
"Oh no you don't, you had a chance, and you missed it. Come on, I'd rather you help me prepare everything..."
"By the way, there's this Hofu temple nearby. Perhaps she's from there?"
"Hmm, you're right. I suppose they could also help with the wound..."
