Leahs pov
Me and lucas go outside and see Will standing there. "Will?" We ask.
He dosent respond. Joyces car pulls up and she starts yelling for Will and goes in the school. Me and lucas run to the door " the field!" Lucas yells.
We run back out, everyone soon following us. Mike is there shaking Will by the shoulders. "I just found him like this! I think hes having another episode!" He yells.
"Will? Will! Will!" Joyce yells as she shakes his shoulders. He still dosent respond. "Sweetie wake up! Its mom! Will! Will wake up!"
She sounds more worried every word. Will opens his eyes and gasps. We walk out the door and i grab lucas's hand.
"I wish he would just be okay" i tell him.
"Me too" he agrees.
"Two episodes in two days. Its getting worse" i tell him as we meet with the others.
"Av room?" Mike asks.
We all get up. "Sorry max" dustin apologizes.
We get into the av room and lock the door.
"Will didnt want me to tell anyone, but on Halloween night he saw sort of a shadow in the sky." Mike explains.
"A shadow?" Lucas asks worriedly. "What- what kind of shadow?"
"I dont know. But it scared him" mike replies. "And if Will really has true sight.. i mean if he can really see into the upside down, maybe he saw that shadow again yesterday.
"So thats why he was frozen like that?" Dustin asks.
"Maybe"
"Can it hurt him?" Lucas asks. "I mean, if this shadow thing isnt from our world..." lucas says softly but trails off.
"Im not sure. Dustin?" Mike asks.
"Well if youre on a plane, you cant interact with the material plane, so theoretically, no, the shadow cant hurt him" dustin concludes.
"Yeah, if thats whats even happening." Mike says. "This isnt d and d. This is real life"
"So what do we do?" Lucas asks.
"We aquire more knowledge" mike answers. "Ill go to Wills after school. See whats going on. You guys stay here and find dart."
"Dart? Whats he gotta do with this?" Dustin questions.
"Will heard him in the upside down. I dont know how yet, but hes gotta be connected to all this. Hes gotta be. If we find dart, maybe we solve this thing. Maybe we can help Will." Mike finishes.
We walk out of the room. I walk with lucas, holding his hand. "Where did dustin go?" Lucas asks.
"No clue. Ask max." i answer.
We walk to my locker, where max is. "Hey max! Have you seen dustin? We're supposed to meet him after class" lucas says.
She just skates away, not even looking at us. "Max!" I call after her.
Me and lucas follow her out the door. "Hey max! Hey, where are you going? Come on! Weve gotta look for dart." Lucas says.
"Yeah, good luck with that" max answers sarcastically.
Me and lucas run to catch up. "Whats wrong?" I ask.
"Whats wrong with me? Whats wrong with you?" Max answers, still stomping away from us.
"I dont understand!" Lucas yells.
"No! I dont understand!" She yells while turning around. "You guys act like you want me to be your friend but then you just treat me like garbage!"
"Thats not true!" Lucas defends.
"Yes it is! You guys go in the av room, keeping secrets like we're in second grade or something. You know, i thought you guys wanted me in your party." Max says quickly.
"We do! But its,.." lucas trails off.
"But what?" Max asks.
"There,... there are just things. Things we cant tell you alright? For your own safety" i say.
"My own safety?" Max asks angrily.
"Yeah!" Me and lucas say in unison.
"Because im a girl?" She asks.
"What? No! Leahs a girl!" Lucas says pointing to me.
"So you can keep secrets from me, but not leah and el?" Max asks.
"Its because el and leah were there!" Lucas yells.
"Wait. How do you know about el?" I ask.
"Do you?" Max asks.
"That was different. Trust me. Okay? That was just,.. just different" lucas tries reassuring her.
"Okay. You know what? Forget it, okay? I dont wanna be in your stupid party anyways. Im out" Max says while walking away.
"Max!" Lucas yells after her.
"You still stink by the way!" She yells back. Lucas lifts up his arm and sniffs it. "Oh shit!"
We turn around and see Maxs brother looking at us as he gets in his car. "He freaks me out" i whisper.
"Same. Maybe he escaped from pennhurst" lucas laughs.
