"Uh, ilang taon ka na?" panimulang tanong nito.

"18.." I answered shortly.

"Ah, ako rin.." saad nito. "Anong zodiac mo?"

I gave him a bored look. "Does it matter?"

He gasped exaggeratedly. "Naman! Importante 'yon malaman natin kung compatible tayo. Kaya, sagutin mo na lang.."

Tch.

"Leo.." sagot ko.

"Sagittarius.."

Then, another one solid minute passed by without saying anything. He raised his brows and gave a wala-ka-bang-balak-magtanong look.

"Klei.." pagbabanta nito.

"What am I supposed to ask? I don't have any question for you.."

"Kahit ano lang.." pamimilit niya pa. "Gusto mo bang bumalik sa loob?"

"Okay, okay!" I said, slightly being annoyed. "Nosy person.."

Silence enveloped us once again but this time, I'm honestly making an effort to think for some decent questions. Or a question, just one.

"Ano na?"

"How come you're close with those people?" I asked hesitantly.

"Seryoso ba 'yan?"

"Then don't answer it if you think I'm kidding.." I muttered, teeth on edge.

"Boys.." he stated, a little boastful.

"Boys?"

"Alam mo kasi, 'di naman mahirap makihalubilo, lalo na sa mga lalaki.."

"For you, maybe. For me, definitely never been easy.."

"Sumpungin mo kasi, Tul. Kaya ayan.." he said, trying his best not to laugh.

My brows furrowed. But instead of shutting his mouth, be a little careful of his words, he nonchalantly gave me a soft punch on my upper arm.

"Ganito kasi 'yon. Last year, tinalo namin 'yong team nila sa championship. Last week, naghahanap ako noong court para maglaro sana tapos ayon, nandoon sila.."

"Nag one versus one kami ni Vin. Syempre, panalo ako. Pagkatapos noon, nag-usap na kami at nagkaalam na 'yong naganap last year.."

"You won against Vin? I don't believe you.." I bended my knees, hug it, and buried my head there. It's getting late and seriously getting colder up here.

"Ba't naman hindi?"

"That guy is a monster on court.." I told him.

"Kaya nga!"

"See. You admitted it.."

"Pero panalo pa rin ako.."

"Yabang.."

"Pogi ika mo.."

After that, I was distracted by the two fireflies flickering its light beside the flower sitting in the front of me. And right at that moment, when my stomach had its borborygmus, the rumbling sound, requesting for food as if it had its own clock.

"Oh, come on, not this again.." I commented on the grumble.

He gave me a startle, gentle laugh.

"Tingin ko, oras na talagang bumaba 'tsaka kumain," he stated teasingly. "Sa susunod nalang natin ituloy.."

I cleared my throat, stood up and said, "Uh, yeah—probably, no. I mean, let's go. Besides, temperature's starting to drop here.."

Nauna akong maglakad sa kanya pero noong nasa hallway kami ay bigla akong napahinto noong may ideyang pumasok sa aking isipan.
