"come on! You are tasting it" the biker complained.

"What I do in my kitchen is one thing, but I do not let anyone interrupt me creating magic," J said and looked over at the biker with his head up high. The statement made the whole group smirk and J wondered what he was missing out on. It was like they all spoke through their minds and left the one biker outside.

"Hmm, only a few people can keep you company in the kitchen, right?" Wyatt said and leaned against the counter nonchalantly. J knew that something was up but didn't know what yet. He wanted desperately to dodge whatever trap they created but didn't know-how.

"It depends" J answered and turned to look at everyone around the kitchen. All of them were sharing looks again. Okay, I have definitively missed out on something, Jeremiah thorough.

"Maybe we need to get a particular detective here so she can get us some of that delicious soup," Athena said moving forward. Suddenly Jeremiah understood the glances they gave each other, with a deep sight he almost felt like sinking through the floor, he never thought he was going to be the subject of teasing when it came to a potential love interest.

"First of all nothing has happened between us and second of all, you can all get out of my kitchen if the only reason to be here is to eat this soup," J said making Athena roll her eyes but laugh.

"You heard him, Wyatt, better luck next time," she said and walked over to her biker and pressed a short kiss on his lips.

"At least I tried," Wyatt said before turning around.

"I have some files to get though but call me when I can get a bowl of that" Wyatt said with a smile on his lips before walking out of the room. The rest of the group didn't stay much longer and when J was alone again he let himself think about what they said. Did he let Evelyn be around cooking and even eat his food while heating? After years of trying to please others has he let his guard down with her? He thought as he continued the cleaning. It was a golden rule for him to not let anyone taste his food because he wanted it perfect for everyone else.

Almost an hour later Jeremiah was still standing in his kitchen where he was making a list of everything he had. He knew he needed to be more organized and it seemed to be the best time to do some changes around the kitchen. As the soup was cooking everything seemed quiet and calm. Even the music was on low only to be a background to Jeremiah's thoughts.

Small footsteps made their way into the kitchen and Jeremiah couldn't do other than straighten up and put up a smile.

"Detective" Jeremiah announced as he still stood with his back to her, he just knew it was her. A small sight left her lips as she glance at his backboard, even if she hoped to sneak in and out she couldn't help but smile.

"Busted," she said when the biker turned around with a smirk over his lips. He couldn't help but chuckle.

"Why all the sneaking around?" He asked and move closer to the woman feeling a need to be closer.

"I hoped to get some of that soup, the smell has been teasing me for hours," she said with a sweet smile over her strawberry lips. Jeremiah knew it was deeper than that but played along with the light conversation he placed an even bigger smile on his lips.

"Then you are lucky, I think it's perfect now. If you feel like it, we could sit down and eat together" Jeremiah said while taking down two bowls. He didn't leave her anytime to answer as he began pouring the soup into the bowls. Evelyn had originally planned to eat in her room while thinking about what to do but now some company sounded good.
