Thorne is more of a renegade character. He's an anti-heroic character that gets the job done using more forceful and extreme methods. Thorne isn't evil, but he doesn't follow the rules nearly as closely as Shepard, and his aggressive nature can get him into unnecessary conflict. Thorne teeters on the line between hero and villain, but the alliance turns to Thorne when failure is not an option
