I feel nervous, because this absolutely is not the 'no strings' relationship it started off as. She knows I'm being risky.
"Not necessarily..." I pause "but, we could do something."
"Can you give me some direction as to what we could do?" She asks, sitting closer to me.
Honestly, she's being kind of irresistible right now. I want to kiss her but I don't know if we're at that level yet.
"How about..." I think for a second "Hmm. Something casual. How about I take you to my recording studio? I only just bought it."
"Did you have nothing else to do with your money?" She teases
"Shut up. It's comfortable, and something I'll always benefit from." I explain, she nods sarcastically "So what do you think?"
"I'd love to. Can we get lunch?"
"Sure. It's a date." I reply, but it comes out wrong. I need to correct it. "Wait, it isn't a date. I just meant the expression."
"To be honest, we aren't very no strings anymore." She says bravely. I don't even really know how to reply. "You chased me around LA until you well and truly got my attention."
"Hey, I've had your attention since before we met. I know I have, and so do you."
"Perhaps. But anyway, it doesn't feel like we're strangers. In fact, I think that you're one of my closest friends." She tells me, I smile a little.
I like that she likes me. It feels good. But it's confusing as to what it means for our relationship.
"You're one of mine. It feels exciting hanging out with you." I admit, she smiles
"Gay."
"Shut up."
"Don't worry, I think you're exciting too. You're not the same as other people." She's being extremely brave with what she's saying to me, but honestly, I really like it. I like knowing how she feels about me.
"You too" I bite my lip slightly. I'm about to say something big. "Maybe it could be a date, then. A half date."
"Maybe it could." She laughs a little "I can't believe you said that."
"Me neither." I pause "I'm not gonna rush you into anything, we just aren't exactly no strings anymore."
"I don't really think we ever have been. But honestly it sounds nice, just seeing how things go."
It feels too sweet.
"This doesn't mean I've caught feelings." I remind her, lowering my eyebrows. She smirks
"Oh me neither."
"I'm glad we're agreed." I pause "I feel like bragging about you. You'll be my most attractive date ever."
"You'll be my first date ever." She says, I tilt my head a little
"How's no one ever asked you out? You're so beautiful."
"It's not that I haven't been asked, I just haven't ever liked the idea of doing things like that." She explains, I nod a little
"That makes more sense. You're difficult." I joke, she laughs
"I am not.. I said yes to you, didn't I? I can't be that difficult."
"You said yes to a half date after me fucking you twice and following you to America. I think I'm allowed to call you difficult."
"You came to America for me?" She asks, I shrug a little
"There's no fun without you." I stop talking. It is definitely too sweet. "We need to sleep. It's getting late and I'm taking you out in the morning."
