Dad always used to wake me up in the morning. I could have used my alarm clock, but on the off chance he forgot to wake me, I got stay home.
He came into my room one night and said, "You're going to have to set your alarm clock tomorrow, I don't feel like getting up early to wake up anymore."
"But Dad, my... alarm clock is... broken."
"Then set your phone. That's not broken."
"But... the alarm clock app is... broken."
"Then call one of your friends and ask them to call you in the morning to wake you." He was being stubborn.
"My... friends are... broken?" I replied meekly.
"Then you're screwed." He turned around and said as he walked out, "Just stay home."
"What? Seriously?" I asked.
He looked back and said, "No, set your damn alarm clock."
