Olivia stared past me with wide eyes. "Who's that?"

"None of your business." I sighed. "Since you don't seem to get a clue, what did you want?"

"I told you I need to talk to you."

"About?"

She glanced behind me once again, "Never mind. It's not important."

She mumbled something under her breath that I didn't quite catch.

When she left, I re-joined Ken.

"Who was tat?" he asked, curiously.

"Nate's 'friend'."

"Well, she's HOT!"

I scoffed. "Glad you think so, Ken. Nate probably thinks so too."

"Kat, you need to stop feeling sorry for yourself. Sure, Nate dumped you but there are tons of other guys out there who probably would love to go out with a girl like you. Plus, that girl may be hot but you are way hotter!"

I blinked- I think I was in a state of shock. "Ken, are you alright?" I put my hand on his forehead to see if he was warm.

"Oh, don't be dramatic." he said, slapping my hand away. "I may be stupid but I'm not blind."

I was about to tell Ken that he was not stupid but he would simply shoot it down as he always does. "That's really sweet of you to say."

After Ken and I had our movie marathon and he left, I was alone again. Then I remembered what I had to do today! Aidan! I have to find him! But how do I go about doing this?

Plan A went into execution. I logged on to FaceBook and went on to his profile. t had no address and no updates for a while. I decided on accessing his fb account from the other side but I had to figure out his password first.

This is going to take awhile...

After trying and failing for about half an hour, I decided to give up on the fb plan. I was thinking that I should call his parents but that would be a terrible idea. That's probably the last place he would go. Where on earth could be? Deciding to take a break from the Internet, I shut my laptop and grabbed my car keys and jumped into my car.

I looked over to Nate's house and noticed his car gone. As I drove off, I couldn't help but think that there was something I forgot.

I didn't know where I was going. I seemed to forget why I wanted to take a drive. Did I even have an idea?

Just then, I had an idea. I really wanted to go back to that Carnival that Nate and I had went to. As I drove, I recalled the memory of driving here with Nate in the car. That was such a wonderful day! No thinking of him, I thought.

I finally arrived and I couldn't contain my excitement! The first ride I decided to go was the Ferris wheel. I really wanted to overcome my fear of heights and this was one way to do it.

So I went to the man taking people's money, handed him a dollar bill and sat in the seat thing. It was the last one that needed to be filled so the man started up the Ferris wheel right away. At first, I kept my eyes open but after five seconds, I couldn't help but picture myself falling to my death from the top of the wheel so I closed me eyes and tried to not think about it. My stomach was hurting, and not in the good way I liked.

When the ride was finally done, I got out so quickly! To my utter astonishment, I bounced into Nate. I was so surprised that I opened my mouth to say sorry but nothing came out.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. I saw you get on so I waited to see how it'd go."

When he realised I wasn't saying anything, he continued, "I probably sound like a stalker now. I'm sorry- I didn't mean to. I just saw you there and I wasn't thinking."

I wondered why he was nervous. He babbles on and on when he's nervous. "It's ok."

"Where are you headed now?"

"Look Nate. We don't have to play the whole 'remain friends after you break up' thing. You don't have to take pity on me, especially since you dropped me like a hot potato."

I turned to walk but he grabbed my arm and pulled me back. When I turned to look at him, his face was white as a sheet.

"Look Kat. I have to tell you something."

I waited. "Well...?"

He leaned down to my ear and whispered, "I can't say anything here. Can you meet me by the diner near school at around 10 tonight? Please."

"Sure but please don't do it all over again."

He looked confused but then he understood. "I really am sorry, Kat."

"So am I. For whatever I did."

"Please don't apologize."

I felt the tears brimming in my eyes. "I need to go."

I ran as fast as I could to my car. I got in, pushed the keys in and drove off quickly.

Nate's P.O.V.

I watched Kat's back as she ran away. She bent a corner and disappeared. I felt so bad for hurting her. I needed to make it up to her. I had to explain everything to her.

It made no sense staying in the Carnival since Kat had left. I followed her here- I don't even know what I was thinking.

As soon as I stepped in my house, I was bombarded by questions as to what happened.

"Nothing worth mentioning." I noticed that Kat's car wasn't in the driveway yet. I wonder where she went.

I went upstairs into my room and my phone began to ring. "Hello?"

"I thought I told her to not speak to her. Were my instructions not clear enough? You'd better cancel any plans you have with her."

I rolled my eyes. "Listen here, you evil woman! You cannot tell me what to do anymore, ok? I am going to tell Kat everything and you can't do anything about it!"

"Not if I get to her first." she said and hung up the phone.

Shit. I needed to get to Kat. And fast. If she hears the story from her aunt, she'd never want to hear my piece and she'd never want to be around me oR talk to me ever again.
