Lost Innocence

CHAPTER 14

"I've been meaning to ask this but why did you not just send me in the hospital and just called my mother you can just tell her I had an accident right?" Sean asked curiously

"I suggested it but Darcel refused, first because he is afraid someone will come again and attack you, second is that we can't actually just say that you were in an accident because it was very obvious that you were abused" Nathan explained

"I see... but wait... attack me?" Sean

"as big and successful company they had they also got many enemies in the industry some use dirty tricks like that son of a b*tch who's to blame for all of this and you know how fast news can spread" Nathan

" I see" Sean nodded in understanding and just concentrated back on his food

After drinking medicine Nathan instructed him to get some a rest again before he left the room to check on Darcel. After he left Sean was once again drown in his thoughts, until he once again fell asleep

"how is he?" Darcel

"he's doing much better than you so please listen to me and take a rest I'll look after him" Nathan said and sighed as he saw the food he brought in wasn't even touched

"thanks" Darcel whispered as he look out the glass window

"eat" Nathan ordered

"I don't have an appetite"

"should I call her again" Nathan threatened and without a choice Darcel reached for the tray and starts eating making Nathan smiled in satisfaction

"you only listen to her" Nathan voiced out

"she's too crazy when she's angry and I heard she's in an important mission right now I can't disturb her" Darcel said with a frown

"she's your sister after all you share the same genes, you three have the same craziness" Nathan said while shaking his head

"whatever, she's still a crazier" Darcel retorted

"no, you are" Nathan argued and Darcel just hissed at him and he continued to eat

"by the way have you talked to him already?" Darcel asked after eating

"yeah we've talked yesterday" Nathan said

"how did he respond?" Darcel asked a little nervous

"don't worry he actually knew he was just waiting for you to tell him" Nathan said

"huh" Darcel was dumbfounded

"he was actually upset that it took you long, he told me he was hurt at first when he found out but now he's already moved on and you can do whatever you want" Nathan further explained

"are you sure?" Darcel has his doubts

"yeah you know better that I'm good at reading you people right?"

"yeah" Darcel could only nod

"I'm relieved then" Darcel added with a small smile in his face

The whole day as Nathan ordered, the two just stayed in bed and take a rest, by night Sean insisted that he wanted to move around so without any choice he just agreed so all three of them ate together at the dining area

"you've got a nice place" Sean commented with a smile after he looked around

"thanks" Darcel answered

Both were now sited in the living room as Nathan is in the kitchen cleaning, the two insisted on helping but he kick them both out of the kitchen so now they are again left by themselves

"how are you?" Darcel finally ask

"I'm more than okay now I can finally move though my back still hurts a little, how about you" Sean

"I'm fine" Darcel answer with a small smile which maid Sean's heart beat go wild again

"you should smile more it really suits you" Sean said smiling back at Darcel who immediately looked away as he felt his face heat up from Sean's statement

After that both went silent when suddenly a phone starts ringing startling the both. Darcel stood up and walk towards Nathan's phone that is placed beside the TV and check who was calling and when he saw the caller's ID he answered it himself knowing it was an important call not bothering on informing Nathan. Sean watch him and was confused on why Darcel suddenly tensed up while he silently listen to whoever and whatever the person on the other side is saying 'is it an emergency? Is it serious?' he ask himself

"I'll inform him and I want an explanation later" he said coldly, too cold that Sean who was close to him felt shiver run down his spine

Nathan who just went out of the kitchen instantly notice the change in the air as he saw Darcel who is just ending the call

"your needed I think something serious happened" Darcel said

"I'll be leaving Sean please don't forget your medicine and you're still not allowed to move around much and Darcel I'll talk to you later and please don't stress yourself have a proper rest" Nathan instructed while he was gathering his things and after he get his phone from Darcel he rushed out

"what's going on?" Sean ask clueless of what's going on

"just an emergency at the hospital his working at" Darcel answer his voice back to being gentle which somehow amaze Sean on how can he change from being cold to being gentle that fast

"I see" Sean said and yawn

"let's go to sleep" Darcel said and Sean just nodded and stood up and starts to walk towards Darcel's room silently

Sean just sit in the bed facing the outside he knew there is something they aren't telling him from Darcel's reaction he knew it's more serious 'Nathan didn't even ask him what happened nor him explaining what's going on but Nathan panic', he knew he was hiding something but he also know his place 'I am just a stranger after all' he sighed before he finally lay down and let his sleepiness take over his senses

After Sean entered his room Darcel also went to his brother's room and again his expression changed before he went to the bathroom
