I know nothing will be easy for me, and I don't expect it to be, not anymore. If there is anything that I can do for you, please let me know. I don't even know where to begin to start apologizing for all of the years of torment I've put you through. I-"

"You're already starting to make up for it, Malfoy. I know this was hard for you, and I'm proud of you for reaching out and making the effort. I've actually had the best time tonight than I've had in a while. I don't get out much anymore, but this was really nice. I've always found your company rather refreshing, in a twisted type of way."

"Refreshing? That's how you would describe it?," Draco asked with a snort.

"I knew that no matter what was going on, you were always a constant in my life. I was never Harry Potter to you, I was just Potter or Scarhead or whatever your nickname of the week was. I have never had to pretend with you, because somehow you've always seen right through me."

"I feel the exact same way, I just never expected that from you."

"Really? I hate thinking about sixth year but I immediately jumped to the worst possible conclusion because you were ignoring me."

"You were right though."

"Was I? I'm still not quite so sure. That's enough of that for one night, I can only deal with this stuff in microdoses. Do you wanna go for ice cream?"

"I'd love to."

One meetup turned into two, and soon enough they were meeting multiple times each week to slowly work through their shared history. The painful memories were being replaced by new ones, and once again, the two men never left each other's minds for long.

This is how Draco found himself dragged along to a theme park by Harry.

"Why are we here again?"

"Because I've always wanted to go and I've never been allowed to. Now I can do whatever the hell I want."

"That explains why you're here, not why I'm here."

"Is it that hard to believe that I enjoy spending time with you?," Harry asked with a frown.

"Sometimes," Draco answered honestly, "but I am here aren't I?"

"You'll always accompany on whatever adventure I take," Harry responded with a lopsided grin.

Draco was cursing himself for being such a pushover. These past few months had done nothing to end his crush on Harry. Instead, everything that he once found irritating about the other man was incredibly endearing, and he couldn't help but smile back.

"Harry gave up his life for us, the least I can do is humor him," was the thought that had Draco agreeing to things he never would have initially. Including a terrifying roller coaster, much to his chagrin.

"Are you sure this is safe?," he asked worriedly.

"Would I ever let anything happen to you?"

"No."

"If you really don't want to, we can do something else-"

"No, I'll do this with you."

This was another thing about Harry that Draco had picked up on. He would never actually do anything for himself if he thought the other person was uncomfortable with it. So, Draco accompanied Harry anywhere that he wanted to go even if he wasn't interested, just to make sure that Harry was living for himself.

Draco grimaced as they were strapped down into the ride car.

"Thank you for this, really."

"You deserve to have fun too. You can pick the next thing that we do, promise."

"That's fair."

A squeak escaped Draco's mouth as the car jerked forward. Harry wordlessly offered his hand and Draco latched onto him for dear life. He screamed at the first drop, but soon he found himself preoccupied by watching Harry's carefree expression and listening to his laughter.

Once they were let off the ride, Harry extended a hand to help Draco out of the car, and interlocked their fingers instead of pulling away once he was out.

"I can't wait to see the photo."

"To see the what?"

"There's a camera at the end of the second drop that snaps a picture."

"And you didn't warn me?!"

"I didn't think I needed to."

Pleased didn't even begin to describe how Harry felt about the photo. He looked genuinely happy, and the thought made him smile. Draco thought the photo made him look like a besotted fool, while Harry looked perfect.

"Oh don't tell me you're buying that."

"Of course I am. This is our first photo together!"

"I demand that we take a better one this instant!"

"Oh, did you want to ride it again?," Harry teased.

"Over your dead body."

"That's not the saying Malfoy."

"On the contrary, that is my saying. Come along Potter."

When Draco found the photo booth, he happily pulled Potter inside, not giving much notice to the lack of space.

"What do we do?"

"You put in money and it takes a series of four pictures and creates a photo strip."

This was a lot easier said than done for Draco, who was posing seriously while Harry pulled a goofy face.

"C'mon Malfoy, you need to live a little! Stop being so serious."

With a smirk, Draco flipped Harry off in the next photo.

"Oh, is that how you want to play it then?"

For the next photo, Harry ruffled Draco's hair in retaliation. Draco didn't quite know how he had ended up wrestling with Harry trying to mess up, or more likely fix, his hair. What he did know was that by the end of this last photo strip, there was almost no space between them.

Carefully, Harry ran his fingers down the side of Draco's face, pushing back the fallen strands of hair. Draco's shaky breath had Harry leaning in a little closer.

"Are you satisfied with the photos now?," Harry murmured.

"Almost," came Draco's breathless reply.

"Do you have another pose idea?"

"I think you might."

That was all it took for Harry to finally close the distance between them, the photos forgotten as soon as Draco's lips met his. Draco moved to deepen the kiss, and ended up hitting the button to take a new set of photos when he moved to Harry's lap. Soft hands met soft skin, and Draco was a goner, before finally remembering who he was and where they were. Pulling away, he leaned his forehead against Harry's, who still had his eyes closed.

Draco began to panic and was about to blurt out that this was a mistake, but he must've tensed up, causing Harry to open his eyes. Harry kissed both of Draco's cheeks, and then his nose.

"You're so beautiful Draco."

"You don't think this was a mistake?," Draco asked in a panic.

"No, I've been wanting to kiss you for ages. Do you?"

Instead of blurting out all of his worries and concerns, Draco just leaned in and kissed Harry again.

"Let's go somewhere more comfortable shall we?"

"We shall."
