In the fortress of Dragonstone, a stag with a burning heart resides. Stannis Baratheon, a warrior and a commander who served his brother through the rebellion was rewarded a humiliating isolation after the war. But the Lord of Dragonstone's eyes shine with hope as he stares at his one and only heir, Ardella Baratheon. The years he has endured after losing his title as Lord of Storm's End to his younger brother, the sons he lost just after their births were made sense by the vision of the Red Priestess, Melisandre.

His blood and heir on the iron throne. And nothing will stop her.

It was the Lord of Light's will that ignited a desire in him. To be the king, to acquire the power he was denied through his loyal servitude. As he watches the statues of the Seven in flames, the burning stag was diving into madness that he is the Prince who was promised. The prince who will rise to the throne to be succeeded by his heir.

Ardella Baratheon sits still in the small council her father hosted at the Painted Table. After years of indifference and ignorance from her father, suddenly she was the core of Stannis Baratheon's conquest. After the stillbirths of her brothers and sickness of her younger sister, she was raised in distance from her parents who despised and feared from her survival. However, it all changed when a woman in red cloak joined her father's side to whisper the will of the Lord of Light.

"What's on your mind, princess?" Davos Seaworth asked Ardella who was in deep thoughts as she was escorted back to her chamber.

"A princess?" was the only thing the young Baratheon muttered under her breath. "Your father is the rightful heir to the iron throne, my lady. As he is a true king, you are to be a princess."

The young princess turned to the onion knight briefly, "So they say."

"I shall wake you at dawn to start our training. Rest well, princess." Ser Davos curtsied after failing to keep the stare of Ardella's deep brown eyes.

The Baratheon sighed at the mention of training as her father whom she saw only handful of times during her childhood ordered a series of training for her. Ardella mindlessly ran her fingers through the mountain of books in her chamber while she feel burdened by the inferred objective of Stannis.

"All to make me worthy of his successor." Ardella thought angrily as she wipes her bloody lips during the training at the shore of Dragonstone. She was just an abandoned daughter of a lord in one of the nameless towers but now she has to learn to fight to be a worthy heir of the new king.

Davos Seaworth stares at the girl pitifully but he knows that his lord and owner is a cold man that leaves him with little to none option to stop the princess's exhausting drills. However, as much as he admires the young Baratheon's resilience every time she stands up to take a stance, he feared from the silent eyes of Ardella that are shining with hatred each time.

"Princess." A woman's voice halted Ardella. The red priestess slowly approached her while the Baratheon stood still. It was because of her, she became the excuse of her father's planned massacre. The thought ignited another flame of hatred and the red woman in front of her felt its burn.

"Yes, the fire will only make you stronger. Let them all feel your fury as you are the one chosen." Melisandre said with respect and adoration. The princess's jaw clenched but it was hardly noticeable on her expressionless face.

Their short interaction was cut short by Queen Selyse, "Praise the Lord of Light." Her mother's voice made the young princess flinch as memories of her childhood flashed through her eyes.
