The Devil's Rage

Of course his trump card won't last much. The most it lasts is five minutes, and in five minutes Y/n feels he can kill her. He jumped and pretended to attack to then be able to allow his sword hit her. And it did, he managed to cut her back and arm.

"I can give you an easy death, but that would've been such a dissatisfying punishment. I'm sure Kaori would want to suffer and get torture to death!" He grinned and managed to kick her trip her down. Now having her lay on her back, weak, Y/n pressed his foot on her face, "'The weak are destined to lie under the boots of the strong'," he said and looked down at the girl under his shoe, placing his sword near her throat, "said a wise woman."

Akame slowly took her Katana and before Y/n backed away and tried transforming into his invisible self, Mind String's trump card was over. They were no more 4th dimension, they were back to the real world.

His eyes were looking upwards to the beautiful red and orange coloured sky while the birds freely flew across it. He smiled, blood running down the sides of his mouth. He promised Kaori, even if he had to die, he won't stop at any cost until he avenges her. His eyes dropped down to the sword stabbed inside of him before the poison inside of him forced him to spit out blood. Akame looked over at his sword, she was impressed that in that one blink of any eye, he still managed to touch her. His sword was stabbed on her shoulder.

"This fight... was unnecessary," Akame said, pulling out her sword from inside Y/n and stepping away as Y/n fell to the ground, "but it had to be done."

"Y/n!!!" Esdeath exclaimed, as she ran to the male and laid him in her arms, "y/n...."

Y/n smiled and extended his hand to gently press his thumb over her cheeks, "Esdeath..." he noticed that strange look in her eyes. That look of sadness. Her har locks covered her blue eyes, all he could see was her downturned mouth followed by an unexpected tear sliding down her cheeks. Just when she thought she knew what despair felt like because of Tatsumi's death, she found herself experiencing a deeper pain. In her arms was the person she cares for the most, the person she loves the most. Her obsession with tatsumi could never be compared to the feelings she has for Y/n. Was it until now that she finally realised?

"Akame, you–" Esdeath exclaimed, taking out her rapier but she was stopped by Y/n who grabbed her hand. She quickly looked back at Y/n who was now on his feet, "how–are you—"

Y/n chuckled before he was forced to cough out blood once again, "Edeath my fight with Akame isn't over."

"W-wha-t's this?" Akame's eyes widened as her hands trembled, taking back her sword, "is this another trump card?"

Y/n wiped the blood from his mouth and grinned, "My entire body already has poison, what's a little bit more of–"Y/n coughed, blood once again stained the ground. But yet he picked up his sword.

"You're unable to move, why struggle?" Akame said now more calmly that Y/n isn't able to fight.

"Have you forgotten what I said earlier?" Y/n said and groaned, holding his stabbed abdomen, "I'm stronger than you, and I will defeat you!" Akame frowned at him, he made no sense, he was in no condition to fight, "Esdeath, I can handle this, you can stay calm."

"Y/n, i will not just stand here," she pointed her sword at Akame, "and leave everything to you!"

"I'll be fine, I promise to win," Y/n smiled. Watching him smile like that made her heart skip a beat. She placed a hand over her chest and looked back up at him before she stepped back to where she was earlier. Y/n turned to Akame, who didn't bother to prepare herself for battle.

"It's true," Y/n said, "I can't move," he coughed, wiping off the blood that kept fall from the edges of his mouth, "I can't move a single step forward, but i refuse to lose to you, I made two promises and I must keep."

Y/n slowly extended his arms in front of him, making Akame confused about what he was planning to do. He couldn't possibly pull his trump card again, he has already used it, and like he mentioned once a day is his limit.

"The Devil's Rage," Y/n said while closing his eyes.

"Wait– what?! How?!" Akame exclaimed, before acknowledging, it was far too late for her to escape. Akame was captured in a perfect round, giant stone with no air to breath. Esdeath watched with surprised expression, she was finally witnessing Y/n true strength.

"Heh, what? Did you forget your opponent is able to use two teigu at the same time? This is The Exitium Art's trump card, it requires tons of energy and rage to use it. Even if it absorbs all my energy, I will finish you Akame!"

He clenched his fist and ​​in a matter of seconds, many stone spikes pierced the inside of the stone sphere, passing through Akame's body, giving her an instant death. Y/n then fell on his knees, he used up more than what he could have given. He gave his all, even if it consumed his life.

Esdeath quickly caught him before he fell facing downwards, "Y/n.." she said quietly, placing her hand on one side of his cheek, "You really did it!" she smiled.

Y/n chuckled, "The strong lives, the weak dies, isn't that what you always say?" he smiled, making her nod, "Esdeath–" he groaned before he proceeded, "Even if i won't get to see you tomorrow. I want you to know–" he was interrupted by another groan. He was feeling weaker and weaker, he lost a lot of blood after the stab, "I will always–love you."

"Y/n? Y/n!" Esdeath shook his shoulders, but there was no response. There weren't words to describe what she was feeling. All she knew was that it was so much to endure. She brought down her face and connected her lips on his, with tears running down her eyes.

The blue haired male set down the most beautiful flowers he could get his hands on and placed it in front of Y/n's grave.

"I always admired him, he was so brave and strong," Wave commented.

"I agree, he didn't plan on leaving this world until he accomplished his objectives," Run said and set down his gift as well, "I wished he'd stay longer, he was sure a very interesting person."

"True," Wave looked back and saw Esdeath approaching, "Captain! How are you feeling today?"

"I rested well, just came to visit my dearest before I begin my hunt for today," Esdeath smirked, making Wave and Run giggle.

"Then we'll leave you two in peace, Captain," Run said and walked away with Wave, "let's get something to eat."

Esdeath smiled, while removing her cap as she watched Run and Wave leave. Then she looked down at Y/n's name curved on the stone. She dropped on her knees and set her hand over the stone.

"I wish I had more time. I never got to tell you how much I loved you and how much you mattered to me. It was far too late when I realised you weren't just a partner, companion or friend. You were more than what words can express," She sighed, "and it isn't like you can hear me." She got on her feet and put on her cap, "but if you can, please Forgive me. I promise I'll never fall in love with anyone else. If I ever do break that promise, I'll end my own life."
