"Where?"
"To the pin coded door?"
"Murdock..." Dinah starts hesitantly. "Dinah just hear me out okay I know what I'm doing." She scoffs. "Matthew! Do I look like someone who just follows along with whatever?"
"When have you known me to take on something I can't handle?" Dinah crosses her arms. "Right now, doesn't seem like the time to start, we can't be rash with this."
"Well, you're just gonna have to trust me, Agent Madani. Who knows when we'll get a good chance, or if there's even time for that?" Madani shakes her head and narrows her eyes at Matt. "You better know what you're doing Murdock."
-----------------------
Madani and Matt stoop down behind boxes of construction materials. The room is shaped like a wide cavern, its mostly empty. Just discarded bits that needed to be moved into storage or thrown out.
Right ahead though, stands a stainless-steel door. Matt tunes his senses. He hears maybe 5-7 people inside, but the most dominant sound was the perpetual buzzing of electricity, which seemed out of place.
A man dressed completely in black comes from the same direction as Matt and Madani. He walks up to the door and enters the code. Matt closes his eyes and focuses. 8,6,9,3,2,1. The door clicks, and the man walks through. Matt nudges Madani "I think I heard the correct number combination, I estimate there's about five or six men inside, so be ready." Matt stands swiftly but Dinah tugs and his arm. "How do you know all this Murdock?" Matt looks down at her. "Just really good hearing."
"Hmmm." Dinah replies not convinced. Matt extends a hand. "Come on." He pulls Dinah up and they tentatively walk towards the door. "Okay Murdock, your time to shine, what's the code?"
"Eight, six, nine, three, two, one." She punches in each digit and the door clicks. Dinah turns the handle and the door swings outwards. "Ready?" Matt gestures forward. "Of course, ladies first." Dinah smirks. "Oh, how polite of you." She remarks sarcastically.
The two tread down a narrow corridor. Dinah begins to turn to the right but halts abruptly. "Shit!"
"What is it? What do you see?"
"You were right. Five guys and... Catherine. They're having a conversation." She says in a rushed whisper. Dinah draws her pistol from her belt. "Whatever this is, it isn't protocol. A hidden operation under Homeland. I need to step in."
"Hey Dinah, wait a second!"
"Matt I've got this. I'm trained for this. Just wait here." Dinah jumps up from her hiding spot and points her gun. "Special agent in charge! Put your hands behind your head and kneel on the ground!" Catherine's eyes widen in terror. A man with a short buzzcut springs towards Madani. She shoots him in the thigh, and he groans in pain, she shoots him again in the foot. He drops to the floor with a heavy thud. Another one of the mysterious men was already coming at her. He manages to wrestle the gun out of her hands but Madani knees him in the crotch and jabs him in the back of the neck Madani runs at the man nearest to her. She slams him into the rock hard wall and his head bounces off it.
Two other guys come at Madani from both sides. "You're gonna regret this!" One seizes her from behind, restraining both of her arms. The other grabs at her right leg. However, Dinah quickly swipes her left leg upwards, knocking him in the head, he falls backwards. Dinah turns her body round, freeing herself. She aims a punch at the man infront of her, but he dodges and kicks her in the stomach. Dinah gasps and tumbles to the ground. The remaining two men standing tower over Dinah menacingly, one aiming her gun at her.
