As I walked to school, I put on my headphones and listened to music to get rid of the obnoxious silence.

When he's not around, it's quite boring, huh? But I'll get laughed at if I say that I'm lonely though.

It's been 3 days since the break up. I admit, I do feel weird without him, but it's just gonna be like old times when we weren't dating.

What was Ray doing these past 3 days? I'm not sure. I haven't had any contact with him since.

When I arrived in the classroom, I sat down on my desk and took off my headphones. There won't be any quizzes today so I can take it easy.

"Y/n!" Emma's ever so cheerful voice sang as she suddenly hugged me from behind, resting her head on top of mine.

"Good morning, Emma. May I help you?" I asked.

"Nope. I'm just in a good mood." she hummed.

"Any reason for it or are you going to make me guess?" I questioned. She just got off of me and shook her head before going to her desk.

Although she was lying, I wanted to play along. I don't know why she's trying to make it seem like she's in a good mood but I might as well not ruin her plans.

"Okay, good morning, everyone. Settle down now and let us take attendance." Ms. Isabella announced as she placed her record book on her little podium.

As she called on my classmates' names, I patiently waited for mine.

"Y/n." she said.

"Present." I replied before zoning out again.

Until now, I still wonder if I really am "too nice". The more I think about it, he was just trying to warn me and I might end up worrying everyone with every reckless action I take.

But breaking up with me over that? I won't accept it no matter what. It's gotta be a proper reason.

I may seem like the type to just accept it when someone breaks up with me and get over it after a month or so, but nope.

If we're gonna break up, give me a reason that'll make me notice the flaws in our relationship and I'll see if we can work things out.

"Ray." she called but there came no response.

He's absent today as well?

It's been 3 days. He didn't attend class last time and I haven't seen or texted him during the weekends.

I want to ask Emma and Norman, maybe even Ms. Isabella, but that would make it seem like I miss him.

Yes, I do miss him and I don't like lying, but we all have that inner irrational pettiness, right?

After classes, it was finally time for lunch.

"Y/n, here you go." Norman placed a can of my favorite drink on my desk. I looked up at him questionably.

"Thank you, but why so suddenly?" I asked.

"Oh, nothing. I just wanted to show how much I appreciate our beautiful vice-president for her hard efforts in trying to maintain a safe and fun environment for all, while also being an amazing friend." Norman kept throwing compliments at me as he gave me a small shoulder massage.

"My, you shower me with undeserved praise. But it's unusual, so what do you want?" I asked once more.

"Nothing, my amazing partner." he patted my shoulder before slowly walking away with a smile on his face.

Did he do something to my back?

"Violet, does something look like it had been changed from my appearance?" I questioned.
