"Who's Y/n?" Peter couldn't help but ask, "I was going through some old piles and came across these pictures and albums of a young girl."
"Y/n...she..."
"She used to be mine," Natasha replied, but it only came out a whisper.
"She was imperfect, but she tried," Clint smiled.
"She was good, but she lied," Wanda looked down.
"She was hard on herself," Natasha frowned, "She was broken and wouldn't ask for help."
"She was messy," Tony chuckled, "But she was kind."
"She was lonely," Steve's steel blue eyes clouded with unshed tears, "most of the time."
"She was all of this mixed up and baked in a beautiful pie," Wanda's voice quivered.
"She is gone but she used to be mine."
Natasha winced, only remembering the young girl's screams of agony as her short life came to an end.
"H-how old was she when she passed away?" Peter frowned.
"Younger than you," Clint responded, fidgeting with his arrows. "She was still a kid. A fucking child that they t-"
"Clint," Natasha warned, gently placing her hand on his.
"What happened?"
"That's a story for another time, kid," Tony sighed.
No it wasn't.
None of them were ready to relive it.
