That played in Y/n's head every day. Even with the memories taken from her, that song, stuck with her. Why was it so important? 

She kicked at the rocks in front of the small market-like place. 

Kids passing the soccer ball.

Little girls holding their mama's hand. 

Dads lifting his child up in the air. 

No. Y/n didn't feel jealous, she felt...nothing. Sure, she was happy for them. They got a normal childhood. They had protection. They were safe. 

Y/n continued dusting up her boots, by kicking at the dirty ground. She looked up hearing a voice, a somewhat thick russian accent. She couldn't help but feel some sort of deja vu, that long blonde hair, green eyes...

Yelena looked at the young girl, with confusion flashing in her eyes. 

"Y/n..." Yelena muttered.

"Huh...?" 

"Y/n...I-I thought...I thought you were gone." 

"Who...how do you know me..?"

Yelena looked slightly taken aback.

"It's me...your big sister," worry laced the woman's voice. 

Y/n tried hard to remember, flashes of yellow, and emerald green...

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be sorry, Y/n, I should've kept you safer, I should've tried harder," Yelena's voice cracked.

"No...no, you don't have to do that to yourself."

"I promise, it won't happen again."

"Why don't we get you inside, out of the cold, huh?"

"Y-yes please," Y/n slightly shivered.

'DROVE MY CHEVY TO THE LEVEE, BUT THE LEVEE WAS DRY, THEM GOOD OL' BOYS WERE DRINKIN' WHISKEY AND RYE...'

'SINGING THIS'LL BE THE DAY THAT I DIE, THIS'LL BE THE DAY THAT I DIE.'
