chapter two: the discord podcast quiz

"how long have you been on here?"

I messaged Dream on Discord when I saw he was doing a podcast

"idk, like an hour?"

Dream messaged back

It had been a while since Dream did a merch discord podcast, and even longer since I had joined in with him.

So I decided to join the vc, then chat was going crazy as they heard me say:

"Hello hello!"

"George!" Dream said excitedly. "Nice of you to join us." He said, yawning slightly.

"Are you yawning? What time is it there?" I asked, scrolling through chat to see if there were any other questions we could answer.

Dream had been silent for a few minutes in trying to come up with another topic, and it was awkward to listen to, so I figured I'd join in. The chat was going so fast though- it was hard to read questions.

"It's like...3 am." Dream said.

I could hear him leaning slightly away from the mic to yawn and stretch.

"You can go to sleep if you're too tired. I'll entertain the chat." I replied.

"Nah, I wanna stay up for a little longer. I have things to do."

"Why'd you say it like that?" I asked, laughing slightly.

"I dunno...okay, send in some more questions or things for us to do, guys." Dream said.

I scrolled for another minute when I came across a lot of links to quizzes that listeners had put in the chat.

"Hmmm..." I said.

I picked at my pointer finger with my thumb. I had accidentally smashed my finger into a door the other day while doing some food shopping. And by accidentally, I mean I have no awareness of what is around me ever and it got slammed in between two large metal doors. It was red and swollen, but I figured I'd just let it chill out for a few days before I went to the doctor's.

"What about one of these quizzes, Dream?" I asked, copying, pasting, and then messaging some of the links to Dream.

Dream was silent for a second, clicking on the links and inspecting them.

"Eh, I've already done a lot of these personality quizzes. I don't think you'd like them, most of them are kinda stupid." Dream said.

Then I scrolled a little longer and found a link to a quiz titled:

"Am I In Love With My Best Friend?"

I laughed, thinking about how funny it would be if Dream did that quiz- chat would go crazy for it. I'd definitely see clips about it later on TikTok.

"What are you laughing at?" Dream asked, confused.

"What about this quiz?" I asked, messaging Dream the link and giggling after I sent it.

Dream opened the message almost instantly, laughing loudly into his mic.

"Okay, let's do it. Chat: this is the 'Am I In Love With My Best Friend' quiz." Dream said in a loud and mighty voice, like a sports event announcer.
