The Curse of The Golden Master 30

The ninja prepared to travel back to the city since the clue Pixal had analyzed showed that it was a scale that belonged to a Serpentine a tribe of snake warriors which by now the ninja was now well associated with, after fighting them so many times Misty had lost count.
When they finally made it back to the city it was like a ghost town, empty.

"What happened?" Kai asked obviously surprised by how empty the city was.

"No power, that's what happened," Cole answered

"Are we too late?" Zane asked

They continued forward until Kai's foot hit a tripwire and cars tumbled down a pile, crashing in front of them.

The Ninja jumped back and all of a sudden heard shouting and growling and people soon came climbing over the cars, they were holding things like mallets, Large bones, frying pans, and dustpans like weapons, and their clothes were ripped and torn and looked liked it belonged in a post-apocalyptic world.

One man holding a frying pan shouted, "Outsiders must answer to the Postman!"

The Mail carrier himself was holding a very large wooden spoon as a weapon and shouted, "RETURN TO SENDER! like a war cry and held the spoon up and shook it like a general rallying his troops.

The Ninja looked at each other confused and Kai just shrugged

Misty muttered out of the corner of her mouth, "Wow... life really does end when the internet goes out,"

Just then though they heard a familiar voice and then Cyrus came into view and said, "Oh, thank goodness your back, Don't mind the savages, since the power went out, everyone's grown a little bored Their imagination knows no bounds."

Cryus then saw Pixal and said, "Pixal. Amazing! You're... powered!"

Just then The Postman complained, "You need to stay in character, Borg this is no fun if we're not all committed.

"Oh, I'll have you committed if you don't all leave us at once! Now shoo!" Cryus shouted and then when the group eventually dispersed, Cyrus added: "We have real problems to address," and then said, "Pixal, what's powering you?"

Zane gave me half of his heart," Pixal said and smiled as she stood next to her father.

"Thank you, Zane. I am greatly indebted. Unfortunately, the hard drive was stolen with the digital imprint of the Overlord. You'll be unable to erase him, with your Techno Blades until we find it." Cryus said

"Aw don't worry, we already had a little run-in with the red-handed suspect, or should I say white-handed." Jay said and held up the scale and said, "He left behind a white scale, get this he's Serpentine,"

Cole walked over and opened a manhole and said, "Lucky for us, the last Serpentine were sealed within a tomb right under the city, so it's about time we pay a little visit"

"Fantastic... " Misty muttered

Cyrus then warned, "Approach with caution I've also lost a few valuable prototypes, he may be armed and extremely dangerous."

Just before Jay climbed down he said "We know and just for the record when those prototypes are made available to the public, could you let me know? They're just the coolest gadgets." Jay gushed like an over-excited fangirl.

Zane offered to help Pixal down but Cryus said

"Uh, Pixal, where are you going? Now that my assistant has an unlimited power supply there's an infinite amount of good to be done."

Pixal looked back at Zane who nodded and Pixal bowed her head and said, "As you wish, Mr. Borg,"

As they climbed below the streets Cole warned Nya and said, "Watch your step, Nya, we don't know the last time this ladder was used."

That's thoughtful of you Cole." Nya said and smiled

"Hey! How about you watch where you're watching, Cole. Huh?!" Jay shouted

Just then the rung that Nya placed her foot on broke and she fell, she grabbed onto the rung above her holding on tightly, and shouted, "Uh, guys? A Little Help?!"

"Oh, is that a threat, Jay? Cause coming from you, it sounds like some of your best material!" Cole snapped

"Ha, ha, ha! There's a reason nobody liked you!" Jay shouted

The wrung Nya was holding onto broke and said fell after she got back to her feet she snapped, "My knights in shining armor!"

She pulled out a glow stick and held it up to light up the passage, and Cole and Jay both shouted, "It was his fault!"

"Let's keep our eyes peeled, our mystery suspected could be anywhere down here," Zane said

Misty sighed and said, "this is not where I wanted to spend my free time."

"Serpentine," Cole said and Kai added, "Never thought I'd see them again,"

"I never hoped to see them again," Misty admitted

The continued to walk until they reached a door that had a seal on it, "The Tomb of the Stone soldiers It's been sealed since the Serpentine were trapped here" Kai said

"It appears the seal has been opened," Zane said

And then they heard whistling and then Scales appeared and shouted, "Not you again!"

"Scales. Something told me you'd be behind this. Search his bag!" Cole shouted

"Aah! This is harassment, I've done nothing wrong!" Scales shouted

"Except steal the hard drive!" Jay shouted and then added, "Kai what's he's hiding!"

Kai was digging through the groceries cart and said, "He's hiding.... groceries? and the latest issue of Ninjago Times!"

"What can I say I'm a sucker for the crossword?" Scales admitted

"Sorry, You've got the wrong snake." Scales said

Just then they heard a childlike voice say, "Daddy? Are you okay?" they then saw a child snake but then a pink-colored snake came out and said, "Stay inside, Scales Jr."

"Scales Jr?" Kai said sounding confused and then added, "You have a son?"

"We've been busy since you left us and prefer to keep it that way." Scales said

"Is this about the Golden Master? Is he going to hurt us?" Scale Jr. said

"That is only a story, son, they were just leaving," Scales said and scowled at the Ninja.

"Golden Master? This about Lloyd?" Zane asked

Misty then also stepped forward and said, "Yeah what is this about Lloyd?"

"Like you, we have our own legends, but I guess in ours, you are the bad guys." Scale said

"What legend?" Nya asked

"They have a right to know, if we're going to shed a new, we must open our home to others," The woman snake said

Scales sighed and agreed and said, "If you'd like to hear of the Curse of the Golden Master, follow me,"

"I don't like Serpentine but I don't like curses either, If this has anything to do with Lloyd, we need to know," Kai said and the ninja entered the tomb. Misty stopped though and thought to herself, "This can't possibly to true right, Lloyd isn't evil, he'd never been evil."
