They discovered he managed to endure all of the failed test results on his own. He didn't want to deal with other people, so he spent his entire social life alone for the rest of his life.
But that wasn't necessary for them, so they didn't keep asking for more, and they quickly accepted him.
He looked around after leaving the interview and came across someone he didn't know, but somehow...
