I have lost the rhyme of poetry
scattered letters can't be put to words
Just staring at the vast gray sky
what's left was empty paper and a sigh.

I tried to write a million thoughts
but my hand was too numb
I tried to look for perfect beauty
but can't find one.

The colors of the rainbow faded away
Flying butterflies now gone astray
Vibrant green leaves turned to brown
Bright smile was covered by frown.

Dried leaves peacefully fell on the ground
Withered petals adorned the empty land
It took me a while to realize
'twas an unexpected piece of art.

Maybe I don't really need a rhyme
there's a speck of hope in chaos
there's beauty in the shades of gray
All you need is to open your heart then appreciate.
