watch the sun pass the moon- she'll look away.
his burning flames would scorch her sleepy eyes.
she's smart enough to hide during the day,
'cause the sun is bright, but he also lies.
when they are seen together, it brings awe.
if you're in the scene, the sight could kill you.
but a heated conflict is what you saw-
they don't love each other, the light is skewed.
the moon pours her heart out to everyone-
she soothes all the aching and broken hearts.
and when fire spreads from the ruthless sun,
she will calm the mind that tears you apart.
the sun might be bright and your favorite friend,
but the moon will protect you in the end.
