blind me with your existence.
let me melt over the fire you've built,
slowly burning me from the inside out.
let me sit upon the ashes
from the bridges we built-
the ones we destroyed,
ages of heartbreak hammered into every edge.
lay me in a quiet river,
the liquid freezes my veins-
the ice that it creates will break like glass.
keep me in your sight,
the eyes I grew to love
now icy and cold.
just one more day.
keep me in your presence,
the delight which I now dread.
keep me in your heart,
keep me in your head.
