Tama nga ang hinala ko, may nililihim nga talaga si Treice sa akin at ito iyon.

I thought, I was the only one who's lying... pero siya rin pala. How could he do this to me? Buntis na ako ngayon at 'yon pala ay may iba na siya at kaibigan ko pa? I am such a fucking fool!

"M-Mommy..." My voice broke as I mumbled. Iyan ang binungad ko nang masagot ni mommy ang tawag ko.

"S-Steris? What's wrong, darling? May problema ba?" Nataranta si mommy sa kabilang linya. "May masakit ba sa 'yo?"

"Y-Yes, mommy," I whispered on the phone. "My heart aches... Sobrang sakit at sobrang bigat ng dibdib ko, mommy."

"S-Steris... where are you? Do you want us to fetch you? Stay where you are, darling, and wait for us---"

"N-No, mommy, I will come to you. I need you, mommy, please help me how to get out of this," I bawled. "Help me, please..."

"Calm yourself first, okay? Huwag kang magmaneho habang mabigat pa 'yang dibdib mo," tugon niya. "Take care of yourself, I love you, darling."

"M-Mommy... do you believe in me? Do you trust me?" I suddenly asked her when she was about to hung the phone.

"Of course..." Her voice sounded concern but full of astonishment. "Why, darling?" she added a question.

"M-Mommy... T-Treice... M-My husband cheated on me." I broke a voice.

"What? Steris, alam mo ba kung ano 'yang pinagbibintang mo sa asawa mo? Of course, Trevon can't do that to you, darling! Mahal na mahal ka ng asawa mo!"

"Mommy, you don't understand! H-He cheated on me, mom! He cheated on me!" paulit-ulit kong sabi. "I heard it all, I saw it all, mom. I saw him with Ellai... M-Mom... Did you hear me? He's with my best friend!"

"Steris, ano ba'ng pinagsasabi mo, anak? Calm down, okay? Stop accusing your husband---"

"Ellai is pregnant, mom!"

That made her shut. The line went silent and mommy couldn't respond. Kinagat ko ang aking nanginginig na labi at umiling kahit hindi ako nakikita ng ina. Ilang minuto ang lumipas, wala pa ring imik si mommy kaya muli akong nagsalita.

"Mom, did you hear me? Did you hear what I said? M-Mommy... Ellai is pregnant."

"H-How did you know?"

My mouth formed into a half open when I heard how she used her tone. Kumunot ang noo ko at kumalabog nang malakas ang dibdib ko. Base sa tono at boses ni mommy... parang may alam siya. No, hindi, nagkakamali lang ako. Parang may alam si mommy sa pagbubuntis ni Ellai? Paano naman nangyari iyon?
