Ch 32: Surprise Date

Damian:

It's been two days, two long frustrating days that Ashley has refused to speak to me.
Not only did she flaunt her oh-so beautiful body at the induction ceremony yesterday , in a skin tight white dress but today she's spent all day in the pool, in a skimpy aqua two piece.
I've had to restrain myself on numerous occasions from pushing her up against a wall and having my way with her.

Ash still refused to speak to either me or Ashley, and Lance wouldn't allow me anywhere near Lindsey. Ashley was avoiding Raven and I like the plague and she ignored Lindsey the whole time she spoke with Lance. The majority of the time she spent playing volleyball in the water with Dante and his mate, Peyton. The tension was thick in the air but my beautiful mate acted as if nothing were wrong.
Ash had this knowing smirk on his face the whole time, which really irritated me.
So here I was watching from a lounge chair, the very exact one we sat on with my arms around my petite mate, watching Ashley hit the ball over the net.
I couldn't keep my eyes off my mate, her blue/grey eyes were sparkling brightly as she high fived Lance and Bailey, who were on her team. On the other team was Dante, Peyton and Ash. Lindsey was tanning in a chair near by.

I rubbed my temples hoping this constant headache would finally go away.
I suppose in a way I deserved Ashley's anger towards me. I shouldn't have walked out on her like that, but I wasn't used to being in a relationship.
That had only made the situation much worse.
I hadn't made it public yet that Ashley and I were together so of course Karla, and Zoey and all the other girls thought I was still fair game.
As for the Raven situation, there wasn't much I could do there. What was done, was done. I couldn't change the past no matter how much I craved it.
My wolf and I were both on edge, seeing our mate but not being able to be near her.
I had a big ego and it was hard for me to apologize, especially when I didn't do anything wrong.

I know it was wrong to use Raven to get my frustration out, but its not like she objected to it either.
In fact, she had been the one to initiate it first. The sad part was that I didn't even have anyone to talk to this about.
Lindsey was stuck up Lances ass-figuratively speaking- 24/7, not that I wouldn't act the same with Ashley.
I didn't exactly have any friends at the pack house, just those few people I hung out with during school hours. That group including Karla and Zoey-so I'm sure Ashley wouldn't approve .

I've been racking my mind, trying to come up with some ways to woo her back, to no avail.
I watched as Dante playfully grabbed Ashley and threw her so she landed face first in the water.
She came up sputtering, her hair stuck to her face and sticking up. Her outraged expression was priceless and I couldn't help the chuckle that escaped.
She sent me a murderous glare, the first acknowledgement she's given me in the past few days, before chasing after Dante.
"You okay ?" I blinked surprised as a female voice invaded my thoughts.
I looked to see a worried expression on Lindsey's face.
"Ashley and I are arguing."
"I've heard."
I raised an eyebrow at her.
"Dante had been going on and on about how much he'd wish Ashley would let him show you a lesson."

I couldn't help my eyes from landing on Dante, who was talking animatedly to my mate, Peyton and Lance. Dante had now resolved his differences with Lance, but I still didn't like him. A smirk appeared on my lips.
I could take him on.
"Don't even think about it Damian." She laughed "I'm pretty sure if you beat her warrior up, it'd only make the situation worse."
"So now you're trying to help me out with Ashley, I thought you didn't like her?"
"I was angry, I'm sorry if I said anything that offended you." Lindsey shrugged, her eyes straying to her mate "Lance cares for her a lot, even now, and I know she will always be in his life. Might as well get used to it."
