The bullet shattered the glass and I tackled my mother to the ground, saving her from the sniper bullet.

"We need to go, now." I said to her. Crawling on the floor I opened the door and led my mother outside.

The sound of gunshots from the first floor caught my attention and I grabbed my mother's arm quickly.

We ran down the stairs and I took her to the garage where Nonna was waiting inside a car.

"You know where the safe house is, sí?" I asked Mama as she got into the car.

"Sí pero ¿y si nos siguen?"
[yes but what if they follow us?]

"Don't worry, I'll make sure you're safe. Now go, te amo mama." I kissed her on the cheek and did the same with Nonna.

"Nena, you're strong," Nonna said, her hand cupping my face, "So don't let us lose you."

I kissed her hand, saying: "I'll try my best."

Before I left, I told my mother to wait. Opening the passenger seat door, I punched in a location for the GPS to follow.

"What is this place?" My mother asked, confused.

"It's a safer safe house. My apartment. I think Javier is on Anastasia's side and if that's the case, he knows where the safe house is." Rummaging through my pockets, I handed her a set of keys. "This one," I said, handing her the biggest key, "Is the front door. The smallest one is to lock it from the inside. Okay?"

She nodded then said goodbye as she headed off, the car speeding away through the gates and into the distance.

As I went back up the the first floor, I bumped into Lorenzo.

"Hey, where is everyone?"

"She brought a whole army amor, we need to fight them now." He explained.

"Wait, before we go- we need to get someone to follow my mother's car. She and my nonna are going to the safe house."

"Okay, I'll send someone. You go. They need you."

We walked away but then he called me back.

"Yeah?" I was cut off by Lorenzo kissing me quickly. "Wha-"

"It's good to have you back amor." He smiled, then went off.

I took a breath and then went on to find everyone else. Gunshots rang in all directions and I headed for the main room.

I ducked down as bullets went flying and I covered myself with one of the large sofas.

I went up and took a quick shot at one of the Russians who kept shooting at us. The bullet hit him in between the eyes and he dropped dead to the floor.

Shooting at two more people, I could see my father in the corner of my eye.

Ducking behind the armchair, I went over to my father and finished off the person he was aiming at.

"Papa, you need to get out of here. We need to protected." I said over the gunshots.

Suddenly, he lifted his gun up and aimed behind me, and took a shot.

I turned to see a man who had fallen to the ground, a pool of blood surrounding the top of his head.

"That isn't a priority Lucía. You need to take control, go. I'll be fine." He tried to reassure me.

"Papa, por favor." I pleaded.

"Lucía. Go." He said, ducking down again because another person had began shooting at him.
