"Yeah, there's no way I'm going in that with all those other worm-stinkies." Zim stated, scrunching his face up in disgust.
"I don't think we have a choice, Zim." You exclaimed, darting your eyes over to the coach for a split second and taking notice of how he looked, watching on while the rest of the class prepared themselves to get in, including you two. "I mean, I don't really want to go in either, but I don't want to risk getting in trouble."
"You humans and your need to follow orders." Zim remarked, rolling his eyes at you before giving you a sly glance, "What's the worst that could happen if you don't-"
"HEY, SPACE BOY!"
A sudden, loud, obnoxious voice called out from behind you as you both turned your attention to where the voice was coming from. Of course, to no one's surprise, the voice came from a seemingly cocky-looking Dib who came over to the both of you with a grin that made you question his intentions. As he stopped in front of Zim, he glared deep into his eyes with furrowed eyebrows, instantly alarming you that trouble was about to erupt between these two as Dib's worrying grin grew more apparent on his face.
"No getting out of it this time, Zim! In fact, I don't even have to do anything this time!" Dib proclaimed, folding his arms over his chest with a smug, proud look.
"What are you talking about, earth boy?" Zim asked, placing his hands on his hips as his head tilted to the side. "I have no need to step foot into that horrid water bowl of human stink worms!"
"Oh yes you do! You'll get in trouble with Mr Lopez if you don't!" Dib reinstated.
"Oh no, getting told off by a human, I'm so scared!" Zim remarked sarcastically, making absurd facial expressions as he did so before regaining himself. "As if I need to be afraid of what some worthless human will say to me."
"Well you should, because I-"
Before Dib could finish his sentence, a loud whistle interrupted the two of them as Mr Lopez walked over to you three, letting his whistle drop from his mouth once he was aware that he had all of our attention.
"WHAT'S WITH ALL THIS BICKERING?" The coach asked in annoyance, standing up straight with an angry glare down at the three of you all.
"You see, Mr Lopez, Zim's refusing to get in the water!" Dib was quick to announce, pointing a finger at Zim.
"Well I don't see you in the water with the rest of the humans either, Dib-worm!" Zim responded, slapping Dib's hand away harshly. With all of this happening in front of you, you found it somewhat amusing to see Zim get the upper-hand on Dib for once and call him out on something he was supposed to be doing but technically isn't.
"He's right, you're not making the situation any better by standing here and yelling at your friend, Dib." The coach explained, folding his arms over and glaring at Dib.
"WHAT?! Zim is NOT my friend! And he-"
"ENOUGH!" The coach spoke up loudly, making Dib fall silent and bite his tongue to continue his sentence. As you stood next to Zim, you could hear him snickering silently once again at having witnessed Dib get yelled at by the coach for the second time today. Needless to say, it was nothing but amusing for Zim watching his enemy get a taste of his own medicine, and despite the fact that you didn't really have an opinion on where you stand with Dib, you couldn't help but find it slightly amusing as well, though you'd never actually admit it to the guy.
"Now I want you to get in that pool with the rest of the class or I WILL make you run laps AND 100 sit-ups by the end of the day!" The coach demanded, looking straight at Dib. Sighing in defeat, Dib walked over and readied himself to slide into the pool, that was until he stopped for a moment and turned back around to face Zim once again and take notice of the distance between you both and the pool. That's when Dib had the idea to really annoy your alien by making the biggest splash he possibly could as he jumped right in, causing a sudden short storm of water to come crashing into you both. Your clothes instantly became wet and, unfortunately for you, you'd suffered the most from that splash-back as you happened to be standing nearer to the pool than Zim was, though that hardly lessened his annoyance. As you looked down on your clothes in frustration, you could hear Dib cackling away in the distance as he joined the rest of the class in the pool, where it seemed that somehow the only one who was actually paying attention to the whole scenario was Dib to your surprise. Looking over at Zim, you could see his clothes were wet, not nearly as drenched as yours, but he was still furious nonetheless as the front of his wig flopped down onto his forehead due to the exposure of the water. You could tell the chemicals of water wasn't hurting him, much to Dib's dismay, and you weren't quite sure whether it was the chlorine in the water or if he was wearing any substance protection from it, but you were quite relieved to see he was unharmed and unaffected in the long run.
