The stars were shining in the dark night sky and a little breeze made the leaves in the garden move. Fingon had left the feast and was walking through the garden trying to clear his mind, but that one person kept showing up. 'What is wrong with me?' he said quietly to himself.

Lately he hasn't been able to stop thinking about the red haired elf, and he hates it. How can you possibly fall in love with your closest friend?

"Why did you leave?" and there that voice was again, he was the last person Fingon wished to see right now.

"I just wanted to be alone, '' Fingon said without looking at him. He was hoping that Maedhros would leave. He didn't, he just walked closer.

"You have been avoiding me lately," Maedhros said. It was this moment that Fingon had been trying to avoid, and now he didn't know what to say. "Have I done anything to make you angry with me?"

"I'm not angry at you" Fingon said irritatedly and turned his head to look at the elf beside him. His red hair was moving from a small breeze. His green eyes were fixed on him and he looked shocked by Fingons harsh response.

"Then what is it?" Fingon looked down on the ground before he looked up on Maedhros again. He didn't want to lie anymore, he didn't want Maedhros to think it was because of him Fingon was avoiding him. So he said it.

"I love you" Maedhros made a small chuckle.

"Is this why you are avoiding me?" Maedhros said grinning and looked at Fingon. "You know I love you too" and for a split second all Fingon's worries dropped. "We have known each other for years, how can we not love each other?"

"I don't mean as friends" Fingon simply answered.

"I don't get it" Maedhros said and looked puzzled, he really had no idea what Fingon was talking about.

"I didn't know you were this stupid" Fingon said. Before Maedhros could answer Fingon grabbed his shirt and pulled it towards him, which made the taller elf bend over a little and then he kissed him.

Fingon pulled away and looked up at Maedhros' eyes, his eyes wide open and his mouth was a little open as if he tried to say something but couldn't.

"Now you know" Fingon said quietly and turned to walk away, but Maedhros grabbed his arm and turned him back. Then he kissed him.
