You jumped out of bed. You changed into your clothes and pulled the rauna on. You put your scarf on and your wool bracelet before running out of your room.

"Y/n, my kind, wat is so belangrik?" Juan said, stopping you as you ran passed him. [Translation: "Y/n, my child, what is so important?"]

"Pa! Dis die dag! Antonio's dag!" You jumped up and down. [Translation: "Dad! It's the day! Antonio's day!"]

Juan shook his head. "Help jou niggie, asseblief." [Translation: "Help your cousin, please."]

"Ja, Pa!" you replied, hurrying downstairs.

Mirabel was getting badgered with questions by three kids.

"Drawers! Floors! Doors! Let's go!" Mirabel started singing.

You ran after the teenager as she left to explain things to the kids.

"This is our home. We've got every generation. So full of music. A rhythm of its own design. This is my family, a perfect constellation. So full of stars and everyone gets to shine. Woah."

"But let's be clear, Abuela runs this show, whoa. She led us here so many years ago, whoa. And every year our family blessings grow. There's just a lot you simply have to know, so," you sang to interrupt Mirabel.

Mirabel ruffled your h/l hair. "Welcome to the family Madrigal."

"The home of the family Madrigal," you challenged.

Mirabel pulled you along. "We're on our way!"

"Where all the people are fantastical and magical! We're part of the family Madrigal," the two of you say together.

"Oh my gosh, it's them!" one of the kids said.

"What are the gifts?" another kid asked.

"I can't remember all the gifts."

"But I don't know who is who!"

"Alright, alright, relax," Mirabel said.

You put your hands on your hips. "Yes. Relax."

"It is physically impossible to relax!" one kid complained.

"Tell us everything, what are your powers?" the second kid asked.

"Just tell us what everyone can do!" the third kid yelled.

Mirabel took the cup out of his hands. "And that's why coffee is for grown-ups."

"Our tía Pepa, her mood affects the weather," you started the discussion.

"When she's unhappy, well, the temperature gets weird," Mirabel agreed.

"My papá Bruno," you said before looking at the picture of Bruno. Meneer Kos? No. You were just confused.

"We don't talk about Bruno," the nearby people said at once, causing you to jump.

Right.... Your papá was not to be talked about...

"They say he saw the future, one day he disappeared," Mirabel continued in a whisper. She brightened up as Julieta was healing some people. "Oh! And that's my mom Julieta, here's her deal, whoa."

"The truth is she can heal you with a meal, whoa. Her recipes are remedies for real," you said, snapping back to reality.

"If you're impressed just imagine how I feel," Mirabel said, right before Julieta kissed her cheek. "Mom!"

"Welcome to the family Madrigal!" you yelled, spinning around.

"The home of the family Madrigal!" Mirabel said, catching you and ruffling your hair.
