TCOPS 29: Hear the Prayer

"I-I," I stammered and heave a sigh. "I right out of the woods."

"You manage to run through the woods at this time! Goodness! You stubborn grown woman! Iba talaga takbo ng utak mo. Paano mo nahanap ang daan papunta rito? Gabi na!"

"I feel you presence." I clasp both of my hands and took a deep breath. "I am Cassandra Davis, also known as Cassiara at this time, please, hear my wish."

"Oh, so this is why you were eager to find me."

I nodded. I have to do this and let her see through my heart. "Look closely into my heart. I wish for my Uncle Ymah to live. Please, save my uncle."

"My child. You did very well with your work. But before I grant you your wish, let us promise each other one more time."

"Ano po iyon?"

"Live your life preciously when I bring you back. Cassandra, time is almost up."

"She did?!" Shia eyed me in tears. She bow again to the Sea Goddess. "Thank you! Thank you for hearing her prayer!"

"I shall go. Take care, all of you."

Bumitaw na sa akin ang diwata at gumaan ang loob ko. Dali dali akong tumayo at tumakbo sa tabi ni Shia. Niyakap ko ito sa kaniyang leeg at binaon ang ulo ko roon.

"I save Tito Ymah."

"You did. I'm so proud of you, Cassiara."

"Buhay ang tito."

"Oo. Buhay si Ymah."

SHIAMIRA

As we return, Ymah took everyone by surprise. They aided him quickly when they notice him breathing. We manage to cheer as there were no casualties and only injured knights. We all pack up and help each other out.

Nagtagal kami sa isla nina Keenai para sa pagpapagamot kay Ymah. Inayos din namin ang mga naging prebilihiyong makukuha namin sa kaniya. Sinamahan ko na rin ito sa pag-aayos ng mga papeles niya upang mailipat ang mga luho, titulo, at mga ari-arian ng pamilya niya sa pangalan niya.

We even discuss about Soren's custody. Nais ni Keenai na palitan ang apelyido nito sa akin, pero umalma ako na hindi dapat kami ang mamili para sa bata. Baka sakaling nais nitong kunin ang apelyido ng totoo niyang ama, edi mas mabuti iyon para sa bata.

I look over my shoulder and saw Cassiara and Soren getting along. I still can't believe that Soren is my actual half-brother and he is not related to Keenai. And the kids are getting along so well. I'm happy for them.

"I guess, I don't have to let them get along. Halos hindi na mapaghiwalay ang dalawa na 'yan."

"Kaya nga."

"Paano kaya kung ang dalawang iyan ang magkatuluyan pagdating ng panahon."

I gave Keenai a sharp glare as I don't like the idea. "Despite Soren being my half-brother, Cassiara is off limits on his list of prospect girlfriends in the future. That boy will grow up as a charmer and he shouldn't choose Cassiara."

He grinned and pull me by the waist to his side. "You can't be sure about that. It is their story to tell."

"Huwag naman sana dumating ang araw na iyon."

I place a kiss on my cheek and I felt my cheeks heat up. "I'm very sorry that I kept cursing about your mother the first few weeks we've been together at your ship."

"We both have no idea that she is related to me. Kaya hindi ako magagalit sa iyo." Humarap ako sa kaniya at niyakap ito. "She tortured you as well. Okay na ba ang mga sugat mo?"

"Hahaha! That's my greedy pirate."

"And you are an annoying Childe." I pause for a moment as I remember something. "Wait, your title is not Childe anymore. Is it Earl or Lord?"

He shrug and frown, "I prefer you call me by my name and not by those ridiculous title."

"Keenai? What is your title?"

He sighed. "Lord Gadbury."

I smile and turn around. Nagpaalam muna ako sa kaniya upang magpunta sa kwarto ko at magpahinga. Nang maisara ko ang pinto ay napawi rin ang ngiti ko.

"We'll be leaving soon. I'm going to miss these people. Soren. Keenai." I slump on the floor and covered my face with my palms. "So frustrating."

The day of our departure came, also, Ymah recovered fast. Soren and Cassiara bid farewell but I can feel the sudden loneliness in the tone of my half-brother. Si Ymah at Oka ay muling nagpasalamat kay Keenai at nagpaalam din sa mga nakilala nilang bagong mga kaibigan. I only let out a heavy sigh as I tear my gaze away from them.

"Hey, penny for your thoughts?"

I look over my shoulder. "Yes.—What in the world are you wearing!?"

"Your type of clothes."

"Keenai!"

Tumawa ng malakas tapos inabot ang pisngi ko. "Sasama kami ni Soren sa inyo."

"Paano na lang ang mga tao ninyo rito?"

"It's a vacation. Para naman makasama mo rin ang kapatid mo at makilala rin. At saka babalik pa rin kami rito."

I tsked and permitted him to board our ship.

"I knew it. You love us. The pirate lady is the sweetest of all!"

I cringe, "And you are the most cheesy lord of a distinctive land. Sana naman hindi 'yan matutunan ni Soren sa iyo."

"At sana hindi maging masungit si Cassiara na kagaya mo."

Nagkatitigan kami saglit at tumawa ng sabay. Well, he is right about one thing. I learn to actually love. And one day, I will be able to say that curse word.
