Selfish, Am I?

People are full of lies 

They pretend to care 

You tell them you're okay

You trust people

You left cause you loved 

Loved too much but did it for them

But they don't know

All they got is good memories with livid expressions

The memories don't leave like you did

But you did it for them you tell yourself

They are still there waiting for you

Waiting in their garden while you run

Run so quick so the thoughts they disappear

but they don't leave like you did

It's been a week now

You wanna run back into their arms and never let go 

The memories, they are still there

They didn't leave like you do

"It wasn't a mistake?"  

"Was it?"

Its been a month

Running into the aisles of candy; Strawberry

Cause it tastes like them 

Vanilla, The same aroma you can recognise in your sleep

The same coloured irises staring at you

Time is funny, isn't it?

You had two options Run or talk

You ran 

Like you always do 

You were selfish  

But this time 

You ran with them; Forever
