after I told my family about my childhood and john they have been acting as if they were walking on eggshells around me
the once loud rowdy home had become quiet and still, you could even hear a pin drop
we still ate together as a family at every meal but the atmosphere would always be the same.

and that's what's currently happening right now
"I have had enough of this," I say banging my fists on the table
"what's wrong ?" dad asked but not looking me in the eye
he wasn't the only one ever since I told them about my past they all haven't been able to look me in the eye
they all had their heads down averting their gaze from mine
"look me in the eyes" I demand
no one looked up
"I said look me in the eye" I urged
none budged boy even a bit
"Why won't you look me in the eye?" I ask groaning in frustration
"because we feel guilty for you protecting you" Vinnie confessed
my eyes soften
"We can't change what happened but what we can do now is move on with our lives. I am not some porcelain doll so please just look at me" I pleaded
Vinnie looks up with tears in his eyes
"we're sorry we weren't there for you"
I rush over to hug him

as I was about to talk I heard a gunshot
"EVERYONE GET DOWN WERE UNDER ATTACKED" dad yells
everyone reaches for their gun so I thought it was a good time that I could take mine out
" wait what the fuck? v how do you have a gun?" Xander asks
Everyone turned their heads in my direction

"Uhh LOOK A BIRD, " I say pointing somewhere random
I internally slapped myself.
"We can talk about this later right now we should focus," dad urged
"Me and Alexander will check the front of the first floor while Elijah and Lorenzo will check the back of the first floor the rest of you go to the third floor and get to safety" dad instructed
"Dad we can help" Xander's voiced but was interrupted by dad
"Ik you can but right now I need all of you to protect one and another"
" come on let's go, " Xavier said with a sight
"Shoot anyone you don't recognize" Alexander instructs
We all nod and go Our separate ways. we walk up the stairs cautiously. once we got to the third floor we could still hear shouting and gunshots.
Vinnie opens the door to Dad's office and we see a man in a black mask leaving a letter in Dad's office.
"shit" he mutters and does a hand single before pulling his gun out
why'd he do a hand single when no one else is here-
out of thin air, another man in a black mask pops out, grabs Vinnie, and point a gun to his head
Xavier takes a step forward but the guy holding the gun to Vinnie's head yells
"ill shoot the kid if you step any more closer"
Xavier stops walking
"Let him," Xavier says calmly
"I don't want to besides we're having fun, aren't we? Right kid?" the man says
"Get behind me tina" Xander whispers

I do what he says and get behind him
"What are you hiding there Xander?" the man asks
"How do you know my name ?" he questioned back not answering the man's question
"Who doesn't know about the de Luca family in the underworld" the man answers
I mean he's not wrong everyone knows about the de Lucas even I knew I just didn't pay attention to them
"Oh she's a pretty one, isn't she? I'll tell you what il release this one if you give me that one" the man spoke while pointing to vin with the gun and then to me
I scoffs
"In your dreams old man you're like 3 times my age shouldn't you be at the nursery home playing bingo" I mock
my brothers chuckle at my comment
I guess that pissed him off cause he then tried shooting me

he missed me by a lot
"if people had aim like you back then, JFK would still be alive" I sneer
I then shot him bullseye in the head.
